-Yesterday’s Losers (Excluding Repeats): The Moment of Truth (Fox)
----------
-Ratings Breakdown: NBC was the most-watched network on this second Tuesday, while ABC and Fox were tied for first among adults 18-49. ABC opened the evening on a winning note care of summer hit Wipeout at a series-high 10.58 million viewers and a 4.0 rating/13 share among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m. Take a look at Wipeout’s three week track:
June 24 - Viewers: 9.98 million, A18-49: 3.7/12 July 1 – Viewers: 9.46 million, A18-49: 3.6/12 July 8 – Viewers: 10.58 million, A18-49: 4.0/13
Also in week three news was NBC’s Celebrity Family Feud (congrats, The Office!) at a respectable (and third-place) 7.49 million viewers and a 2.1/ 7 among adults 18-49. Rounding off the hour was a repeat of CBS’ NCIS (#2, 8.61 million; A18-49: #4, 1.5/ 5), Fox’s waning The Moment of Truth (Viewers: #4, 5.05 million; A18-49: #3, 1.9/ 7) and a repeat of the CW’s Beauty and the Geek (Viewers: #5, 738,000; A18-49: #5, 0.3/ 1). Too bad the CW did not order a new season of a former Mr. TV summer favorite: Amish in the City. The positive news for Celebrity Family Feud, meanwhile, was a performance slightly above one week earlier.
NBC was the most-watched network from 9-10 p.m. care of America’s Got Talent (12.40 million), which finished second behind the season-finale of Hell’s Kitchen on Fox among adults 18-49, with a 3.3/ 9. Hell’s Kitchen signed off with a healthy 8.76 million viewers (#2) and a winning 4.1/12 in the demo. Worth noting for Hell’s Kitchen was growth out of the second half of lead-in The Moment of Truth (Viewers: 5.54 million; A18-49: 2.2/ 7 at 8:30 p.m.) of 3.22 million viewers and 86 percent in the demo.
Also in the 9 p.m. hour was CBS’ 48 Hours Mystery (Viewers: #3, 7.27 million; A18-49: #4, 1.7/ 5), ABC’s I Survived a Japanese Game Show (Viewers: #4, 6.83 million; A18-49: #3, 2.8/ 8), and a repeat of the CW’s Reaper (Viewers: #5, 1.14 million; A18-49: #5, 0.4/ 1). I Survived a Japanese Game Show continues to lose a large chunk of the Wipeout lead-in.
Top-rated honors at 10 p.m. were mixed between ABC’s Primetime: The Outsiders and a repeat of NBC’s Law & Order: SVU as follows:
Tuesday 10 p.m. Primetime: The Outsiders (ABC) Viewers: 7.06 million (#2), A18-49: 2.3/ 7 (#1)
Law & Order: SVU R (NBC) Viewers: 7.23 million (#1), A18-49: 2.1/ 6 (#2)
Rounding off the 10 p.m. hour was a repeat of CBS’ Without a Trace at 6.28 million viewers (#3) and a 1.4/ 4 among adults 18-49 (#3).
Wipeout at a series-high 10.58 million viewers and a 4.0 rating/13 share among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m. Take a look at Wipeout’s three week track:
June 24 - Viewers: 9.98 million, A18-49: 3.7/12 July 1 – Viewers: 9.46 million, A18-49: 3.6/12 July 8 – Viewers: 10.58 million, A18-49: 4.0/13
Wipeout has all the makings of a summer hit that can be turned into a reliable in-season performer. The nay-sayers who were saying last week that it would fade and die must not understand what makes a television hit. To me, the sharp increase in the half-hour in both viewers and the demo in its premiere week was a great indicator that the show is catching on and would have staying power: GO BIG BALLS!!
Look for ABC to fast track this on to the fall/spring schedule.
I don't want ABC to over do this great, fun show, but placing it in between DWTS seasons may not be a bad idea.
If you saw last nites episode, you saw the first player to over come The Big Balls.

Congrats to Christina winning Hell's kitchen 4. She was my favorite, and I was really glad to see her win. I thought early on that either Christina or Corey would win, so I am glad that 1 of them won. Since this was the first season I've ever watched of HK, I don't have comparison material. But I thought it the finale wasn't too long or too short and was just perfect, much like other finales of some reality shows sometimes aren't. It got tension, it was surprising at times and even really funny when Jen asked for the recommendation from Gordon. I will be there when midseason comes by again next year for another season fo Hell's kitchen.

Crap! I forgot to DVR last night's episode. Hop NBC has it available on line to watch.
FOX Chicago's HD signal went out last night from 7pm to 8pm - which is primetime here. (Couldn't get it on Digital Antenna either.) This probably affected the numbers.
Matt and Jen are both Psycho. I was wishing that Gordon would toss Matt out during the dinner service. What a nut case.
This was also my first season watching HK, and now I can't wait for the Kitchen Nightmares repeats later this summer. I really enjoyed the BBC version of KN during the winter/spring.

FOX Holds Narrow A18-49 Lead Over Surging ABC After 6 Days of 2008 July Sweep
After six nights of the July Sweep, FOX holds onto a narrow first place lead over ABC in A18-49 with a 1.8 A18-49 average, while ABC has surged into second with a 1.7 average. NBC is third with 1.6, CBS fourth with 1.3, The CW fifth with 0.6 and MyNetworkTV is last with a 0.3 average. Year-over-year, only ABC is up in A18-49's, whereas all the other networks are showing A18-49 declines from last July.
After six nights, CBS holds on to its customary lead in households and viewership, with NBC ranking second in both measures. In households and viewers, only ABC and NBC are showing year-over-year increases compared to last years July Sweep.
I will update the following tables when final numbers becomes available later today.

Nota Bene. This year's Sweep includes the low-HUT Fourth of July whereas last year's Sweep started on July 5th and did not include the Fourth of July.

If during spring season i ask myself why on Earth is anyone watching AI, i guess during summer season i'll ask myself hiw on Earth are 10 millionn watching one of the worst game shows EVER. It's just painful to watch
KN is good and though it was only 10 eps and took a different approach then the original Channel 4 version, it was still good. The Britosh version is better though, because it gives a better view of the cooking proces, instead of more focusing on the issues involving the owners. Which at times they focused too much on. But if you're a cooking fan and a Ramsay fan, you should really watch the encores this summer.

Petrozza should of won Hell's Kitchen. I would work for him any day over Christina. I really hope he gets a job, he was a down to earth guy unlike a lot of contestants on the show.
Wipeout was another good episode last night. The first contestant to get past the big balls, but I wonder where the poll is? I can't believe that girl didnt see it, because she thought it was yellow. Wipeout deserves a second season.

No offense but I think you are wrong. During the normal season when there are quality shows like 24. LOST ect...a show like WIPEOUT would be lost in the shuffle...remember the in season edition of POWER OF 10?
People make shows like WIPEOUT a hit in the summer because TINEO-There Is Nothing Else On
