If it happened, that would be a good move for ABC. SW needs a home and SW paired with another comedy won't do any worse than UB.

I've really enjoyed Eleventh Hour. True, it's a little hard to follow and seems like your typical boring procedural, but Sewell's Jacob Hood has grown on me in the character dept and I like the chemistry that he has with Marley Shelton. It consistently gets between 12-13 M viewers a week, so I'm wondering why does it seem like the media deems this show a bust or disappointment? Also, why the heck did CBS wait so damn long to give it 5 more episodes?
As for all the CBS procedurals in question, I think if CBS really wanted to cut costs, they might have to cancel Cold Case due to it's mediocre ratings and high production costs, especially the music. It's still one of my favorites, but I can see it ending very soon.
As for CSI, it was a good debut for Fishburne as the lead. I can definitely see CSI sticking around 3-4 more seasons.
I thought the first Morpheus episode of CSI was really well done. It changes the show dynamic completely. Plus Girssom isn't "gone". he's contracted to show up a couple of times a year ( sweeps would be my guess).
I'd expect the numbers to uptick a bit as the season winds on. Bones had to cut into some of CSI last night. I know here Bones on DVRs was treated as a two hour episode ( I thought it was a two-parter until I watched). Once FOX goes back to reality TV in the 9:00 slot viewers will slide back over to CSI. After the AI helper episode for Kitchen Nightmares next week.
One things for sure. Thursday 2009/2010 will look NOTHING like it does this year.
NBC might be left with just 30 Rock and The Office on the schedule( 30 Rock aint going anywhere until Fey and Baldwin stop losing awards).
ABC has decisions to make with Ugly Betty ( move it at the very least) The under preforming and expensive Private Practice latest "hot" rumor is Addison going back to Seattle to help revive the Grey's slide and canning PP and getting Shonda back on track on one show instead of splitting her time.
CW : I'm not even sure the CW will exist next year.
CBS: 11th hour? Seems to fall into that not bad not great range. Plus side is would the Mentalist, NCIS or CSI do much better at 10PM? Maybe it's just a dying or dead timeslot. Flipside is CBS will likely say we can plug in just about anything post CSI and get 12M.

I don't think you meant that quite the way you typed it, but in any event, you're forgetting Arrested Development. 30 Rock has only lasted longer because of all the election-related publicity Fey got.
And what's going to happen is that the critics and Emmy voters will fixate on another unfunny comedy, and the awards will stop. The election is over, so that gravy train has been derailed.
30 Rock lasts one more season, definitely--but if the ratings don't pick up (and they won't), it's probably gone after that.
What do you think if CBS were to do the following next fall?
Tuesdays: 8:00 - NCIS 9:00 - NCIS Spin Off 10:00 - CSI: NY
Wednesday: 8:00 - Survivor 9:00 - Criminal Minds 10:00 - Streets of San Francisco
Thursdays: 8:00 - The Mentalist 9:00 - CSI 10:00 - New Show

I have an easier time seeing CBS leaving NCIS/TM where they are on Tuesday, and either using the NCIS spin-off after TM, or after CSI on Thursdays. This is the stability / patience network.

I would like that but what about WaT? canceled? send to Sunday to replace Cold Case or The Unit? I would cancel the Unit and move WaT there because I think it is much more compatible with Cold case then CSI:NY would be.

Survivor would bring much more viewers and better demo than old Christine and Gary U and that cannot hurt Criminal Minds ratings. SSF would get a good lead in from Criminal Minds

Thursdays: 8:00 - The Mentalist 9:00 - CSI 10:00 - New Show
I like that too but what about EH? canceled or going to Sunday in place of either cold case or the Unit?
I would canceled The unit, cold case, Gary U, Worse week and old Christine.
So Sunday would look like
60 minutes WaT or Cold case EH or another new drama

Still think CBS wants a second block of comedy on the lineup so that has to fit in somewhere. I'd move the TBBT and see if it could hold down the fort on Wednesdays at 8:00 and launch a new show in the 8:30 slot. Gary, Christine, Worst Week etc etc aren't really getting it done. CBS also has some big Sunday decisions. Unit and Cold Case coming back?
I'd try something like this/
Tuesdays: 8:00 - NCIS 9:00 - The Mentalist 10:00 - New Series
Wednesday: 8:00 - Big Bang Theory 8:30 - Develop a "dark" comedy to lead into CM. 9:00 - Criminal Minds 10:00 - New Series
Thursdays: 8:00 - Survivor 9:00 - CSI 10:00 - New Series
Would relocate CSI New York and the always on the move Without A Trace to Sundays to pair with Cold Case ( or new Drama ). Would allow both the Mentalist and Criminal to be used as launching spots for new dramas.
And in this economy I'd take a LONG hard look at development and if it's not there why force something. Spinoffs are what they are and seem lazy and repetitive most of the time. Still i'd bet CBS has nothing in the pipeline that could top the right NCIS spinoff or even CSI Chicago or whatever. We'd all hate the idea but people would tune in if casted right.
Why move Survivor and The Mentalist if they are doing well where they are? If anything, I would ultilize the NCIS spin-off on Sunday.

Let me throw this thought out there for you folks. I think Gary Unmarried has too much potential especially in syndication to be canceled. This is probably one of the few sitcoms on TV right now in the past two years that will succeed like George Lopez or Two and a Half Men in a syndication run.
Since ABC is trying to get Old Christine. They can fall on getting Gary Unmarried if they don't get Christine, which is highly unlikely since CBS can get syndication money from Christine. Gary will easily start out as ABC's number one sitcom. Since Steve is trying to redevelop the multi-cam sitcoms, this would be perfect to fit around. I believe ABC Studios owns the show too.
I did a CBS schedule on a number of occasions before, but here goes at look what my CBS schedule would look like.
MON 8-Big Bang Theory 8:30-How I Met Your Mother 9-Two and a Half Men 9:30-New Comedy 10-Hawaii Five-0 (after Super Bowl 44 with Miami there to start the season)
TUE 8-NCIS 9-The Mentalist 10-Streets of San Francisco
WED 8-NCIS Spin-off or Comedy Block w/ Roe/OC/GU or Survivor/Amazing Race (in between cycles) 9-Criminal Minds 10-CSI: NY
THU 8-New Drama 9-CSI: LV 10-New Drama
FRI 8-Ghost Whisperer 9-NUMB3RS 10-Without a Trace/Eleventh Hour

The Unit either gets canceled and moves to FOX or returns in mid-season.
