I agree. How many times could she be calling Sheldon dumbass ? Recurring status is enough.

According to Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly, Sara Gilbert has been taken off contract on The Big Bang Theory, but will continue on recurring status. At least she will appear on the February 9,2009 new episode. See here :
Leonard already had Sara Gilbert in Roseanne. He will end up being with Penny in the end.

I guess this is a good thing. IMO, her story would get old fast. How many times can she call Sheldon a dumbass? Maybe her and Leonard will get back together in the future. Anyways, as long as she is on the show once in awhile, I think its all good.

I told you that show was trying to make the speach impediment character a replacement 'nemesis' for Sheldon. Needless to say, TBBT just took a huge step backwards in quality and watchability.
No, Kripke was only temporary. He is not in the next new episode on February 2, and Sara Gilbert will be on the February 9 episode. So just hang in there. The show will be fine.

So about 7 less million watched CSI compared to last week and its still the strongest show (in viewers of course). I wonder how much people will still stay for CSI. Regardless, it is still a powerhouse and will continue to last for a long time (I personally find CSI the best of the franchise and one of CBS's best dramas). Eleventh Hour is too weak in the demo but could it survive elsewhere?
ABC had Ugly Betty which has been at the 7-8 million/mid-2 demo for a while. Grey's ratings are weakening and I would if the show could bounce back. Private Practice seems to be gaining stronger retention.
Fox has one of its best Thursdays in a while. Bones is incredible resilient to almost anything. The drop in the second episode was excepted due to the heavier competition, well mostly CSI.
NBC was typical although apparently, MNIE, K&K, and The Office were up while 30 Rock was flat. ER seems to be getting stronger ratings after dropping a few weeks ago due to PP coming into the timeslot. Also, more rumors of George Clooney and Julianna Margulies returning to ER.
Why doesn't NBC get it that single camera shows are just not working for its network -- never has and never will. No matter how many guest stars, awards, etc -- 30 rock will never catch on with viewers.
They should be developing multi camera traditional sitcoms and if they want to keep their Earl, office and 30 rock -- they should develop a family comedy show -- like what Cosby did -- maybe with Chevy chase as the center of the show -- since he's doing Chuck now for a few episodes?
did I miss something is ABC still interested in getting christine and gary? Why their ratings are the biggest happy surprise this season and I doubt that CBS will give it up now. Although I think ABC can make them even higher rated.
Hey, I caught the last two "Big Bang" episodes and they were funny as hell. Man, that is one tripped-up show. As a so-called nerd myself, I can certainly relate to those guys!

have you seen the recent shows? doubt it. If you did, you would not be calling the writing pathetic

If the problem is Shonda Rhimes can't handle 2 shows. Then why not just give her one show now and bring in a new Executive Producer for the other? Instead of ghosts and crossovers.
ABC looks desperate to save PP and pathetic with GA's writing. Something needs to give.

Private Practice (58 minutes) - 9.487 million viewers - 6.3/11 HH - 3.6/10 A18-49 *not as big a drop in viewers as I expected from the 2 minute GA overrun... and PP held up in the demo! did anyone watch? is the episode worth watching? I know in two weeks the crossover with GA happens, so I figure it might be worth "doing homework"*
This show has improved significantly from last season. Last nite's ep was probably the strongest of the 10 or so eps I have seen.
The show is less Walsh-centric and better talents like Brenneman and Adelstein are shining through.
The stories are provocative and they have got the tone about right - serious, but not too, and when it goes "light," not silly.

Nope, Don't think so.
Besides, we don't know that one was at the expence of the other

All I know is that if our speech impaired friend continues to stick around, I may not be. He's absolutely terrible. This show can do just fine with the regular cast and don't need to rely on mediocre extras. I for one would've liked to see more eps with Sara Gilbert. She was quite funny in the episodes she starred in . Sara Rue and Laurie Metcalf would also be nice regular guest stars.
