Smallville needs to gain just a little bit in finals to pass ANTM's 4.02million viewers this week. I think Smackdown will be down tonight due to market preemptions, so ANTM/Smallville have a good chance to be battling it out for #1 show of the week on CW.

Neck and neck with Reaper's 2.51million viewers 1.0 demo.
Supernatural was amazing last night! Too bad it had shitty ratings! Though I don't know how they got away with that much gore! I just couldn't watch the guy get his organs taken while awake! Yikes! I could hear the sounds though! And Sam almost getting his eyes taken!

Any reason why WaT gained almost 2 million viewers and a half point in the demo from last week? I would have expected CSI to gain demo from the 2&1/2Men fans, but why is WaT up? I read on another forum that some markets had TV delays due to weather coverage. Any chance some of WaT's number is really from CSI?
Apologies for a off topic post, but some things just aggravate.
"The new beast", I beleive I quote correctly from Nylon Magazine's recent interview with Josh Schwartz.
Mr Schwartz, by now, must be a deflated man. He is obviously talented in the persuasion department or else Ms Ostroff would never have bought into his line of BS in the first place.
Given an outrageous revamp for his poorly rated show GG--he now goes on the attack over the less than stellar numbers the show produces.
The culprit,of course,is Neilson. Neilson is out of tune with modern day reality. It is inaccurate and misleading. It fails to capture the true audience numbers and so on and so forth.
Well yes and no is the answer. Is Neilson a perfect barometer of what is going on out their in viewerland? Probably not. But, and this is a tremendously vigorous but, every channel and every show plays out within the same parameters.
New Media is hard to quantify that is a given. But for Mr Schwartz's edification, the game is not simply about guaging audience numbers, it's about money and who pays the piper.
Much of new media in that sense is, to quote Shakespeare, "Much to do about nothing".
Can things change? Sure. Will they and over what time frame are very much the imponderables.
The point here is Mr Schwartz is so firmly stuck in the land of spin, he is insulting people's intelligence. It is a level playing field. Imperfect, maybe. But so what? Has he ever considered that ghastly possibility his show just sucks?

The shows had been pulling about 8 million each in the slots for most of the season, but are down, like almost everything else this spring.
Logically, Marc will put the FOX gameshows on the losers list next year when they don't outperform in the year-to-year data; then everyone can be happy.

LOL! Total eclipse, I think the time you spend posting here to a few people could be put to better use by sending emails to CBS and sending messages to people on Moonlight boards asking them to write to CBS and differnt entertainment magazines letting them know that there is a huge audience that loves your show and wants it to return. Posters here are simply going to put you on their ignore list because you are becoming a troll.
And, although it may be too late to win the entire May Sweeps period, you can still enter into PIFC Sweeps Daily Game to try and win individual nights!
On a side note, if you are involved in this forum's Survivor game, please e-mail the site's webmaster ASAP to rectify the current situation there. Thank you.

I'm sorry but UB is doing better in viewers and in demos. I don't call for the cancelation beacause the show is on ABC not on CBS. A 7.9 million show on ABC is good, on CBS is not. And UB does not have a lead-in
AND I have the feeling that ML would NOT be doing what it does numbers wise if it was on Thursday night, for example. I think some people just tune in Friday because there's nothing better on -- once there's actually decent options available, a good part of the audience will simply watch the alternatives instead.
You hit the nail on the head there. Moonlight would crash and burn not only on Thursdays, but probably if the networks actually go after it next year (like they should). Ugly Betty has to start off the night. Moonlight airs in the timeslot with the most possible viewers available during the evening (9pm) and LOSES its lead in EVERY week as well as the demo. 9pm shows are supposed to be the strongest. Not the weakest. And since when has Friday Night Lights, mischeduled on Fridays to begin with, Smackdown, and a low demo ranking WMC tough competition or even competition for that matter?

I agree and at midseason Fox will move one of their new dramas there and watch it crash and burn and then the gameshows will be waiting in the wings to fix things again.

I'll never look at a melon baller the same way again. Eeeeeeeeewwwwww......
Yeah, Supernatural lost all the momentum it had when it ended February sweeps on that 3.22 million with a 1.4 and then CW took it off the air for a month in its infinite wisdom to try and save Reaper by airing it in the same timeslot. Way to go.

Being an established show, Supernatural should be able to get its audience back without much help. Reaper is a freshman drama that deserved some time behind Smallville. Besides, there weren't any new eps of Supernatural to air anyway. Why in the world wouldn't they give Reaper the best possible lead in to succeed?
