Lost and BSG have nothing in common. BSG is far superior in all respects for one, but unlike Lost it is not based on one "big mystery", or many mysteries in Lost's case (a few more every week).
In BSG, the story is driven by events and that is why you keep watching the show: just to see what happens next, not to finally get "answers" to the "questions" from the pilot (there were next to none).

The networks should understand some shows are at best a "one season" shows. Lost, Prison Break, Heroes are the perfect examples. But the networks don't really care about quality, they just want money, money, money.
Too bad this idea never caught on in the States. In the UK, a great many series run just one season, 5-13 eps, and leave it at that. A condensed, quality run. Or, if they do run into several seasons, each one is often only a handful of eps, then a long break of sometimes more than a year before the next season. It's a shame to enjoy far less eps overall, but the quality (usually) is vastly improved because they're not stretching it out so far into an arbitrary Sept-May season.
Good morning to YOU, Zitrone. I trust you had a pleasant weekend.

Yeah--people actually watching it.

Both shows have multiple mysteries revolving around one big mystery. Lost is ultimately about The Island. BSG is ultimately about The Cylons.

You mean like when Starbuck came back from the dead, and her Viper was brand new, and we suddenly find out that the Hybrids are saying she will lead the human race to its end?

You mean like a ship full of mercenaries and scientists shows up and starts taking hostages and shooting people, and Ben & Locke form an alliance of convenience? That's not an event?

Zitrone, both Lost and BSG have been great shows at times. Both Lost and BSG have been sucky shows at other times. There have been times when I have been wildly grateful to have been watching both shows from the first episodes--and other times when I devoutly wished I had never heard of either show.
And that's because I'm a fan of great drama, and you're a camp follower--not to mention a hater. I mean, geez--if you don't like it, don't WATCH it. Why are you talking about it all the time? You seem obsessed or something.
(waits amusedly for Zitrone's very serious response.)
