Wow. Friday Night Lights did extremely poor. Why did NBC schedule this against college football? Wouldn't a marathon on a Friday make more sense? I have a feeling that NBC doesn't have the faith in this program that they did last year and that it will be gone by November from the schedule only to return to finish out what will end up being a shortened 13 episodes.

I'm suprised college football didn't do better. It was a great game last night. Cal has a great offense, and watching them play USC will be great.

One of my fave progs last season was FNL, but I certainly had no plans to watch reruns of it while a REAL FOOTBALL GAME was on! Apparently, I wasn't alone!

BIG MISTAKE, NBC!

Why would they even run 3 episodes of it. It's not like it's popular. Air something else like Law & Order: SVU.

They would claim they are trying to increase exposure, but anyone with a brain knows that the audience won't watch repeats of a serialized show. If they really wanted to expose it, they shouldn't aired the whole first season this summer after AGT on Tuesdays and used SVU repeats elsewhere. Then when AGT got done this past week, they could've used back to back eps at 8 and 9 and brought back SVU at 10. As for Saturdays, repeats of stuff like Dateline, Crossing Jordan, Medium, and Vegas are better options.

At least NBC is consistent. FNL will have the same problem on Friday's, when it is up against high school football.

Exactly and those who advocated it moved to Sunday need to realize it would have major amounts of preemptions in the first two months it would be on the air there, not to mention there are already several family shows on Sunday nights. I thought it should've moved behind Heroes right away in November last year and then if that didn't work, perhaps try it out on Tuesdays after Biggest Loser.

Bizarre scheduling. Which is normal at NBC.

I think the ratings will be worse than last season airing on Friday.

But there will be lower expectations on a Friday, and it will have DOND as a lead-in instead of having to lead off a night.

I don't see much audience crossover between the two. The FNL audience will likely be out and thus the show will suffer in original airings, and likely pick up some viewers when the time-shifted numbers are included. But I don't expect much of the viewer retention out of Deal or No Deal.
