It will be interesting to see how O.R. does. Raines has been able to grow off of it's lead in, so we know it just depends if last night's viewers liked or not. But, for O.R., the situation is different.
With Shark off another week and Greys back to a repeat, Rains should still get around 10 million. Remember, only about 300K dropped of at 10:30 for Raines.
I'm not sure there is anything to compare it to really. Kind of an 30 minute action-comedy/farce. It's very unique. Therefore essentially doomed. I'll tune in again as I tend to enjoy half-hour comedies that stray away from the standard formula. However, as with all other shows that do that, the appeal will be narrow.

Smallville- That was down a bit, I thought last night's episode would have generated more interested. Next week's episode looks horrible. They always do this. A really good episode always comes along after a break but than the next episode is bad.
Andy Barker, P.I. was very good and very funny.
Raines was good. A good twist at the end. And quite funnh.
October Road, was just... egh (not sure what sound that makes, but it seems right).
Fifth Grader- Didn't see it last night but it did good in the ratings.

No, I just don't think these shows are pulling enough viewers. Period.

While it doesn't necessarily chill me to the bone (mainly because the fashion world has never exactly been my strong point), I'm concerned, but not surprised, that Ugly Betty slipped this low. Overall, it's been slipping little by little throughout the season, hasn't it? Although this should definitively be its last season, Scrubs' had an uptick in viewer ratings from last week, which is a good thing. I couldn't stand seeing my favorite comedy go out with only five million viewers. Grey's Anatomy is a lot of the reason why Scrubs dropped below six million: its story arc was a network bombshell (and the end of it, that twenty-seven million strong conclusion, was a mess of things). I'm not surprised that it lost four million viewers.
What about a compromise? They can stay on, but no one forces you to watch any of them. How's that?

I liked Andy Barker, PI, but not too shocked at the rough start.
I really enjoyed Raines. Given the troubles of Black Donnellys on Monday, if this holds up next Thursday, how about moving Raines to the Monday 10PM post-Heroes slot?
No, it wasn't the opinion I was referring too, but the writing. Its almost as bad as mine.

I would be for that. And then move the Black D's to 10pm Sundays. Move The Donald to 9pm Fridays

Oh they're all fine creatively, its just I think they've really hurt NBC's Thursday night this year. While I understand NBC wanting to bring back the 2 hour comedy block, I just don't think now is the time. Greys and CSI are too strong. Deal or No Deal was doing much better in total viewers and even did better in 18-49s. To top it off, neither Scrubs nor 30 Rock or Andy Barker will ever be the mass appealing hits. They fall into the Arrested Development category: Critically Acclaimed and low rated. What NBC needs more than anything is the next Friends or Seinfeld. 30 Rock, the very aging Scrubs, and Andy Barker are not it.

I haven't watch Andy Barker yet but will check it out this weekend. (Please don't give away the ending -
For what it's worth, our Chicago Suntimes critic said the first episode was a bit slow and then subsequent ones were a vast improvement. He actually was pleading with NBC to pull the pilot episode and just start with Episode 2 (like ABC did with Freddie).
