As mentioned earlier, Everybody Hates Chris already has a full season of episodes in hand, likely the only live-action, scripted show so fortunate.
The worst scenario could be for Scrubs, in its final season but still some episodes short of its finale. Long-time fans of that program could be royally rooked.
I'm not a fan of Scrubs, but I feel for the people that are. I would have to equate that to losing "The Office" in the same manner and I would not be happy about that.

Well most shows have tried to get as many scripts developed as possible (and so have the studios, thus why hardly anything has been cancelled thsi year, and so many marginal shows have gotten additional script orders).
Lost hasn't done anything that the other shows has done, but since they have fewer episodes to prodcue (thanks to a much smaller then usual season), they have managed to write most of the season. On any other year, Lost would be in the same boat as everyone with a little over half a season that can be filmed. Thanks to that smaller order, its now nearly the full season.
And thats bad considering that Soaps are poorly written in the first place.
Y'know that'a a really snobbish, elitist statement...there has been some very excellent and yes even complex writing done on various soaps over the years.

There are a bunch of shows in 'good' shape... EHC is done, I believe most animation shows are scripted so they are fine, Lost is at episode 10 or 11 right now and word is if they can't complete all 16 we will see 8 this year and 24 next year, Las Vegas and Law And Order SVU I believe are done, Jericho is done. Most of the midseason shows are either done or well into their seasons...
Not to mention the slew of reality shows this does not affect. CBS is ramping up Big Brother to be ready sooner than the summer, ABC is talking about bringing Millionaire back, FOX as AI, 5th Grader and Lyrics. CW will bring back The PCDs etc etc
I don't see there being any problem with network lineup for months. Safe till April probably.

I'm the last person who would stick up for Scrubs, but it deserves a good ending.
Cruelest blows will hit the frosh crop of shows that are just starting to get a toehold with viewers, including ABC's "Private Practice," "Pushing Daisies" and "Samantha Who" and CBS' "The Big Bang Theory."
I wish they had striked back in the summer, then the new shows would have never premiered.
Regardless of whether Grey's won in HH (as Zap2it is reporting), Medialife gives Greys a 7.8 in the demo, compared to a 5.6 for CSI. CSI would need a big lead in HH #'s to compensate for that.
