Doesn't Christine have Eric McCormack as a guest for at least the first arc of the series? He's still a decent comedy draw so it's very possible that the casting along with Julia's Emmy buzz and weaker competition can bring ratings gains to that show. And that will benefit GU also.

Definately. If Bravo and TLC reality shows that pull in roughly one million viewers can stay on air, then I'm sure Ghost Hunters will be on SyFy for a long time to come.

It has DWTS as its main competition, which was probably a reason why it premiered so low last season. But, it managed to grow throughout the fall, so it should be able to do the same this year. Eric McCormack could definitely draw some viewers to it, and up against Hank, Dance, and Mercy, it could very possibly come in first in total viewers in the timeslot.
Bones v. Survivor: Tedium (or wherever). They appeal to two different audiences, I would suppose. Both should do well. For me, Bones.
Fringe v. CSI and Hot Medical Babes: Now there are three different audiences. I imagine Fringe will come in third, but if it's a respectable third, I imagine the Vulpines will be pleased more than somewhat. For me, Fringe of course.
I just hope Fringe doesn't lose momentum when it goes on hiatus for baseball--or does it? I don't know yet what days baseball is scheduled for. Or rather, what days are going to be set aside for travel days.
Counting down the Yankees Magic Number, but I remain fascinated with Thursday Night Fights.

I would define it as coming in no better than fourth in HH and no better than third in the demo.
It can have smaller overall audiences than CSI and Greys and still have a very viable share--like The Office has done for years.
Or it could surprise us. I mean, I don't for one minute expect it to be #1. But remember when Greys first went up against CSI? Remember the predictions then?
Fringe will never be the monster hit Greys became, but that's not the goal--the goal is to build up a very desirable audience of younger viewers who see this as appointment television. If they're DVRing it to hell, FOX made a mistake. You won't see me pulling the DVR excuse out of the deck. pisher don't play that.
This is quite possibly THE most interesting timeslot of the fall, thanks to FOX's ballsy play. As Leonard Nimoy's OTHER TV character of note might say--Fascinating.

I agree. Seeing The CW fail spectacularly on every single night makes me tingly in my special place.
"Jay Leno Show" could blow 2/3rds of its audience right now and NBC would still be happy. Who was ever expecting this thing to get 13 million viewers?
-- "Better Off Ted," Wednesdays at some time or another at some point or another in the near future. Because we can't all live in mansions and not ever work like the people on "Modern Family."

Survivor was pretty boring, too. Last season was great, one of the best editions of the show in awhile, but I'm not sure if I'll stick with this one.
Community was just okay - I kept hearing in all the reviews how laugh out loud funny it was, but I didn't laugh out loud once. It seemed just like another NBC comedy to me.
I am already addicted to Survivor. My only complaint was the editors did a poor job created any suspense before Tribal Council. And Community was good, particularly Chevy Chase.

I thought Survivor was great tonight! I already hate one of the players!

I just thought it started off really slowly - the beginning just about put me to sleep. Maybe it's just the routiness that's becoming boring to me. I'll probably continue watching this season, just to pass time before the All-Star Edition comes in midseason (which should be awesome!).
And Marc, I agree, Chevy Chase was the best part of Community. It actually was a good show, much better than The Office, 30 Rock, and all that, but I just wasn't finding the laugh out loud humor. The quality and writing was great, though, so I might stick around.
