Probably, but you said it was the worst pilot/show of the season and you could not have been more wrong about that. New Amsterdam was quite entertaining.

Looking at the numbers, NA is headed to Fridays next season. 6.6 mil and 2 demo would be a dream for FOX Fridays. BBT's numbers look even worse in comparision to the rest of the night.

I highly doubt NA would pull that on Fridays against SciFi's popular dramas that tend to air on that night (or did in the past). Regardless of whether they are strong or not, the show won't do that well there. Second, aside from 2.5 Men, every other CBS comedy would do as low if not worse in the ratings last night at 8pm.

Hollywood Reporter:
The CW moved "One Tree Hill" (2.7 million, 1.3/3) to Mondays and gave the network its best-ever performance in the time period in its adults 18-to-34 demographic (2.0/5).

Friend its following not fallowing (not that I really care but just an fyi). I do agree that Bones is a stable performer and will likely lead into a new drama next fall on Fridays.

I said it was the worse pilot of the season; I didn't watch after that, so how can I be "wrong", it is just my opinion. But a lot of people were saying Moonlight pilot was terrible, yet this show has a chance to come back, unlike NA. And after two post-AI episodes, most viewers agreed with me.

The best thing that can be said about NA is that it got to air all of its few episodes.

I think had New Amsterdam gotten some original House eps for a lead in last fall or even this midseason, it would've helped immensely. Also, Moonlight would be lucky to pull 6 million in a competitive timeslot, which it currently doesn't air in. Its also pretty dull if you ask me. At least more dull than NA was.

No show gets House as lead-in, but NA could have gotten more AI as lead-in if FOX was more interested in the show, like they did for Til Death last year (I think?).

You got that backwards, Friday is not exactly the best night to get high ratings. Put ML in a competitive slot and it could reach 9m, but would do worse than most CSI hits.

Wrong. CBS used to pull 11 million in that slot and higher demos when Close to Home aired there. Moonlight, had it not been for the monster disasters of Viva Laughlin, Cane, and Kid Nation, would not even be on the air today. Moonlight is a highly acquired taste and 9 million on basically any night besides Fridays and Mondays (where the cheaper comedies air) is not acceptable at CBS. Its not a hit. Its not even that younger skewing. Earl and 30 Rock pull better demos with up to 2 million less total viewers.

Also, please explain to me how a show that does pathetic in a weak timeslot would do better in a competitive slot. Its like saying since Duel, which is a flop on Fridays too, could pull 6 million at ease against American Idol, the Biggest Loser, and NCIS on Tuesdays.

The thing ML has going for it is that it never has anything on opposite it. NBC had that bomb FNL opposite it the whole year, and ABC had WMC for a while, but it was totally older skewing, and FOX never puts anything on opposite it. I think if ML ever had any competition on opposite it the show would totally bomb.
