That's not even possible. It will do more than 2 Million for sure. A rerun did 1.29 Million afterall. The show always does over 2 Million when the episodes are new. Plus, they've been advertising the hell out of its return, what with all of the "OMG" ads.

You mean the OMFG ads Smiler And look how well all the promotion before the premiere did to the show. The truth is this is a horrible show and no matter how hard will be promoted it will do poorly. I still think at best it will get 2.5 million next week but i wouldn't be shocke if it remains under 2 million

Actually the ads I saw yesterday were OMG. Not sure if they toned it down a bit or not.

I don't know why but those ads are regional. In some parts of the country they use the OMFG ad, in others the OMG ad. The ads are good, the show is bad

Sad numbers for BBT and HIMYM. Although I did not think last nights episodes were that good anyways. Plus, I almost missed them, because I was outside.

The rest of the night seemed to be down too, sad.

Before everyone laments how bad BBT and HIMYM did last night in the ratings, they really did not do that bad. Look at BBT and HIMYM this year compared to how HIMYM (at 8:00) and Old Christine did last year :

"The Big Bang Theory" (households: 4.7/8, #11, half-hour: N/A; adults 18-49:
2.9, #T8, half-hour: N/A), "How I Met Your Mother" (households: 4.9/8, #T9,
half-hour: N/A; adults 18-49: 3.4, #4, half-hour: N/A),

Last year on this date :

"How I Met Your Mother" (households: 4.3/7, #T11; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T11),
"The New Adventures of Old Christine" (households: 4.8/7, #8; adults 18-49:
2.6, #9)

We just have to lower out expectations this time of year. DST is going to
kill these early shows. They both finished second in the time slot in the
demos and both beat last years time slots easily, which is pretty good with the tough competition they face. These two shows are doing fine.

Way to go Bones! Very impressive numbers, especially since they have not been on for 4 months. And the fact that FOX keeps shifting them from one time slot to another. Us fans are faithful and will follow them on any night, including Fridays! Here is an irony: 20th Century has Bones and HIMYM up against eachother and they film next door to eachother.

Blue State: OMFG
Red State: OMG

Now, each person can figure out what state they live in simply by watching a CW commercial. Wink

Weekly numbers are out for Week 29 just ended, and FOX won the young demo decisively and even edged out CBS for most viewers:

======================================
1. FOX 3.8 (10,270)
2. CBS 3.0 (10,250)

7. TEL 0.5 (1,190)
8. MNT 0.4 (1,050)
8. TF 0.4 (860)

On season-to-date, it's still a tie for seconde between ABC and CBS as NBC has fallen back to fourth in the demo:

No, it was not a rerun. Futon critic identifies reruns. Here was CBS from last year :

The Eye then had to settle for second place with its combination of "How I Met Your Mother" (households: 4.3/7, #T11; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T11), "The New Adventures of Old Christine" (households: 4.8/7, #8; adults 18-49: 2.6, #9), "Two and a Half Men" (households: 8.4/12, #3; adults 18-49: 4.4, #4), "The King of Queens" (households: 7.9/12, #4; adults 18-49: 4.5, #3) and "CSI: Miami" (households: 10.0/17, #2; adults 18-49: 4.7, #2).

If it was a rerun he would have told us so.

Thanks dumont. I think NBC will continue to fall back. I'm sure DOND will give them a boost from time to time this spring, but I think they will run out of steam. I know CBS had the NCAA Championships last week, but I would have expected ABC to do better in relation to what it did with DH coming back.

Both this site and Sitcoms online identify ;last year's HIMYM episode as a rerun.

Well, I trust futon critic, and here is an example of how he identifies repeats :

Next up was FOX (households: 3.3/5, #4; adults 18-49: 2.4, #3) with repeats of "The Simpsons" (households: 2.6/5, #15; adults 18-49: 2.0, #14), another "The Simpsons" (households: 3.0/5, #14; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T12), the premiere of "Drive" (households: 3.7/6, #12; adults 18-49: 2.6, #T8) and a second hour of "Drive" (households: 3.4/5, #13; adults 18-49: 2.6, #T8).

And by the way, even if it was a repeat look how badly both beat the 8:30 Old Christine in the demo. I maintain both these shows are fine. They both finished second in their time slots in the demo. Everyone is raving about Bones, and it did much worse than each in the demo. Bones got a 2.5 vs. BBT 2.9 at 8:00, and a 3.0 vs HIMYM's 3.4 demo at 8:30. Both beat Bones by .4 in the demo. If Bones did well, than BBT and HIMYM did REALLY well considering it is DST.
