It is not "my show." I watched maybe 2 episodes in the beginning.

18-49 demo: down 12% 8pm down 18% 8:30 down 19% 9pm down 14% 9:30
Interestingly, the demo was down roughly the same as viewership at the beginning of the night, but increased alarmingly thereafter until SW? came, at which point it did rebound noticably.
Also, total viewership declined slowly, but steadily, even through SW?
This should provide *some* silver lining to SW fans, that at least it has some following in the 18-49 crowd.
However, most interestingly, The Bachelor was practically identical to last week: 6.99 vs 7.02 mil, and a 2.6 vs 2.7 in the demo. Critics of the shows ratings should take note of this.
Actually, what I said was
"Personally, I feel the show is brainless and tasteless. The ads i saw running for the Spring Break Deal! episode was mindless garbage.
:-) Sorry, to the 9+ mil that tuned in! I hate your show!
But on that note, look at it's performance. Not too shabby at all."
Did you see that last sentence, or did your selective reading kick in there?
FYI, I don't like the Bachelor either. It's garbage too. It's fake, mindless, moronic, boring, and stupid. I simply think that it's consisitency in NUMBERS (not quality) are underrated.
You twist my words completely out of context, yet make it look like i've commited wrongdoing. I find that ironic.

He was not "stating facts." He was expressing his opinion which is fine. I just found it ironic that he ripped into one reality show and then defended another.

I'm actually not surprised Bones did well; it got a great writeup in USA Today Monday- they called it the top of the "second tier" of shows; it may not be remembered as an all-time great, but one that can go 6-7 seasons with a decent audience.
Priscilla probably is going to go tonight- but I wouldn't be shocked by Marissa, Christian, or even Marlee or Shannon going- we're due for a "shock" result.
I DVR'd DoND last night, as I'm a bit of a fan, and I got to see a new American Gladiators commercial (which looked great and got the point across- the promo people should be applauded for it)..
and Deadliest Catch starts a new season tonight, which is cool..

Retention for Samantha Who? out of the last half-hour of Dancing With the Stars was disappointing at 55 percent in total viewers and 68 percent among adults 18-49. Has the whole amnesia thing worn thin?
SAMANTHA WHO is the very poster of a STRIKE damanged show. Yes, the ratings were down after DANCING ended but dissapearing for months on end killed ANY momentum it might have had.
And its truly sad because its brand of comedy is light years ahead of less sophisticated fair the BIG BANG THEORY or RULES.
that is your personal opinion...but not fact.
I don't find it better than BBT or even Rules for that matter but I do agree that the strike has hurt Samantha Who considerably.
Funny .... on a night when "old" CBS wins the demo, while running a repeat of CSI:M, most of the chatter seems to be how poorly HIMYM and BBT did in the ratings.
quote:
The Big Bang Theory Viewers: 7.69 million (#3), A18-49: 2.9/ 8 (#2)
8:30 p.m. How I Met Your Mother Viewers: 7.99 million (#4), A18-49: 3.4/ 9 (#2)
These shows were facing possible daylight savings time issues, while look at SW:
quote:
9.98 million viewers and a 3.0/ 7
Not only did SW show in a higher HH level time period, but it had 18 million and a 4.4 as a lead-in. But, of course, the issue of the day is how poorly the CBS comedies are doing.

What??? That is does consistantly bad, week after week?
You're right, maybe they should move MIT to this slot for a third season. Or perhaps if they want to keep this hour unscripted they could try Wife Swap. ;-)
No, they should place show that is actually good and has a shot to grow.

That's not even possible. It will do more than 2 Million for sure. A rerun did 1.29 Million afterall. The show always does over 2 Million when the episodes are new. Plus, they've been advertising the hell out of its return, what with all of the "OMG" ads.

I would probably put Gossip Girl's return at about 2.65 million next week, with One Tree Hill hitting around 3.10 million. Then again, if the OMFG/OMG campaign brings in some lookie lous, it might be in for a 3 million night.

Congratulations to ME, Tv-aholic, for winning my 4th overall game of the PIFC CUP.
tvfan300 did continue to build on his consecutive game points streak, now at 53 games.
With only one game left to complete for the PIFC Fall Cup, Douglas has wrapped up the championship title. tvfan300 has also captured second place in the standings, but the other positions are still up for grabs.
Check out the PIFC Cup Web site for all the current standings, stats and more. Game #74 of the PIFC will be live at the end of the week. Also, Don't forget about the Great game... The Daily Game
calling DOND mindless and garbage tv is an opinon...but not untrue...as for the show hurting others...that is a fact.
