NBC finished third with its line-up of a two-hour edition of Deal or No Deal (Viewers: 9.65 million; A18-49: 2.8/ 7 among adults 18-49 from 8-10 p.m.), which peaked in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour at 12.51 million viewers (#1) and a 3.7/ 9 among adults 18-49 (#2), and Medium (Viewers: #2, 9.58 million; A18-49: #1, 3.1/ 9 at 10 p.m.).
Nice to see those numbers for Medium, even if it is down slightly from last week. It's still significantly better than it did this time last year(on Wednesday).
4/11/07 7.64M viewers with a 2.5/7/#3 in the demo.
Glad that NBC has renewed it, but I do wish that they would stop moving it around on the schedule. Can't they see that it belongs on Mondays?
I wonder if their insistence on moving the show to Sundays is a)an attempt to kill the show and rid themselves of it or b) a backhanded compliment by using it to anchor a new night and launch two new shows?
If NBC wanted to "kill" Medium and "rid themselves of it" wouldn't they just cancel it?
Bones: only slightly diminished, though most of the decline was in the demo. Older skew should've been expected without the House lead-out. When House returns, this night's going to get really interesting.
Rules: Though right on par with some of the early-fall numbers, I consider this a slight disappointment as the show had been picking up steam late in its fall run (not coincidentally at the same time 2.5 Men was picking up steam). Men came back from the strike even stronger, and Rules did not. But I don't think it's cause for alarm, since most younger shows are taking bigger hits.
Originally posted by mushu_jj: And so did 7th Heaven and Runaway week two last year.
7th Heaven wasn't in the same timeslot, though it did top OTH for Monday ratings. Still, that was longer ago than the performances of the CW sitcoms. Girlfriends, for example, outperformed the OTH rating as recently as this past May.
Interesting look at this week vs. last week numbers for ABC:
Viewers: down 12% 8pm down 13% 8:30 down 14% 9pm down 15% 9:30
18-49 demo: down 12% 8pm down 18% 8:30 down 19% 9pm down 14% 9:30
Interestingly, the demo was down roughly the same as viewership at the beginning of the night, but increased alarmingly thereafter until SW? came, at which point it did rebound noticably.
Also, total viewership declined slowly, but steadily, even through SW?
This should provide *some* silver lining to SW fans, that at least it has some following in the 18-49 crowd.
However, most interestingly, The Bachelor was practically identical to last week: 6.99 vs 7.02 mil, and a 2.6 vs 2.7 in the demo. Critics of the shows ratings should take note of this.

What??? That is does consistantly bad, week after week?

I think the big game changer on the night was DOND being on at 8PM. That took away from both the CBS and ABC numbers.

You're right, maybe they should move MIT to this slot for a third season. Or perhaps if they want to keep this hour unscripted they could try Wife Swap. ;-)
So, you rip into Deal or No Deal for not being quality television, calling it "tasteless" and "mindless garbage," but defend a show that is the epitome of exploitation...I find that ironic.

OTH performed on par with it's season thus far which means the move shouldn't hurt it too badly. For those comparing it to the comedy performances, it should be taken into account that this was a move to a new night for OTH with no original lead-in.

Has the whole amnesia thing worn thin?
SAMANTHA WHO is the very poster of a STRIKE damanged show. Yes, the ratings were down after DANCING ended but dissapearing for months on end killed ANY momentum it might have had.
And its truly sad because its brand of comedy is light years ahead of less sophisticated fair the BIG BANG THEORY or RULES.
that is your personal opinion...but not fact.

The 8PM hour of CBS comedies seems to have settled in the 8 million range, which is similar to fall numbers. I doubt any of these shows would be cancelled.

Actually, what I said was
"Personally, I feel the show is brainless and tasteless. The ads i saw running for the Spring Break Deal! episode was mindless garbage.
:-) Sorry, to the 9+ mil that tuned in! I hate your show!
But on that note, look at it's performance. Not too shabby at all."
Did you see that last sentence, or did your selective reading kick in there?
FYI, I don't like the Bachelor either. It's garbage too. It's fake, mindless, moronic, boring, and stupid. I simply think that it's consisitency in NUMBERS (not quality) are underrated.
You twist my words completely out of context, yet make it look like i've commited wrongdoing. I find that ironic.
why?? many "tasteless" and "mindless garbage" shows do this...ANTM, WWE wrestling, supernanny....they all make a dent against quality shows...all the poster was doing was stating facts...why should you have a problem with this?
