Im a huge Big Brother fan, but does anyone else find it odd that the strike ending(supposedly) happened so close to a show that is being pushed to a extra season starts so close around each other?
Wish it well, but hope it doesn't dilute the show and end up killing it. Hope it provides a great lead in audience to help Jericho in its 2nd season premiere.
I'm fairly certain that no one involved in the strike had Big Brother in mind when finalizing a settlement.

Thank ABC. After all, how much was ABC down week to week in that same timeslot?
Well, ABC was down in the 9.30-10.00PM time period in viewers as much as -61% (11.02 vs 4.30) and in the demo by -60% (3.5 vs 1.4) compared week-to-week according to the fast nationals.
March 17 (when Dancing with the Stars, Samantha Who, and The Bachelor all return to ABC Mondays) can't come fast enough for ABC. Hopefully their post-Oscar movie, A Raisin in the Sun does well, or at least does not flop, in a couple of weeks...
Welcome to the Captain is being helped out sandwiched among the other comedies. If it lead of or was by itself, it would produce lower ratings. Same thing happened to Moonlight. Right now, the numbers are decent enough for another go as a mid-season or replacement show.
Girlfriends should get a proper send-off. Even though it probably lasted one or two more season than it should, it deserves better than a haphazard ending. A clip show really won't work. How about a cast reunion episode?
I agree. I think that Summer Glau can stay but only because I know she is capable of better(even though I know the role calls for her to be robotic, she could still find some way to humanize it to an extent).
I've seen her in other roles. She's capable of better, but not a LOT better. I've rarely seen a more overhyped talent--overhyped online, that is. Much ado about not all that much.
Please note, NOBODY from the Firefly cast has caught fire. Joss Whedon's lousy casting instincts have received too little attention. If he'd had his way when Buffy was being cast, nobody would be talking about him now.

I really don't find many redeeming moments for either actor portraying John or Sara. I know Sara is supposed to be cold and precise, but Linda Hamilton played the role the way it was written and this isn't even close on the show.
Lena Headey isn't a bad actress, but she's very badly miscast.
Whoever is playing John can barely be considered an actor at all.

They would do well to utilize Dean Winter's character more on the show since I usually consider him to be a pretty good actor and like him in most roles I have seen him in.
This might be a workable plan of action if 'SCC' didn't stand for "Sarah Connor Chronicles".
They have to try and tweak it, but it's way too late to fix it. Unless they really have a time machine. And a killer cyborg to take out whoever cast SCC.
I wasn't aware that FOX was broadcasting me in hi-def. Awesome! Did they show my good side?

FOX would be foolish not to bring TERMINATOR back next fall since it's holding steady and not plummeting into the abyss that other series like WELCOME TO K VILL and VANISHED did.
Also I hope we do eventually get to see PRISON BREAK: CHERY HILL either concurrently with PB or as its sucessor.
As for tonight...PLEASE everybody watch JERICHO and BIG BROTHER and help them do well!

I agree. I liked the pilot, and the 2nd and 3rd eps. But it hasn't really progressed into something yet. I haven't seen last night's ep yet, but I hope it will get better when Brian Green strarts to guest star. Because otherwise I will probably not retrun for a second season.

I'd love to see a series finale, but if they don't make one for this season, I think that last season's finale will serve that role just fine.
Well as long as it was somewhat satisfying for fans then I'd say its ok.
I've never seen Girlfriends, but I do believe it deserves a proper ending. As does According to Jim. I saw on abcmedianet that the last episode to be produced before the strike brings suprising news. SPOILER ALERT, SPOLIER ALERT: Cheryl is pregnant, with TWINS! The remaining episodes will probaly be with the twins and the series finale will be the twins being born.

The Academy Awards and Big Brother (in that order) were the two highest incentives for ending the strike.

Lots of predictions already posted for Jericho on the Daily Feedback game.
As for BB9, I really can't see it going much beyond 7 mil. (Which is slightly less than the summer installment.) If it goes beyond that, CBS will be happy.

Will BB9 be killed by IDOL and see the usual summer numbers go down a mil or two?
Will Jericho do better that Cane, and more than that, do better than Boston Legal, which is also new tonight?

I didn't mean there was a connection, I just thought it seemed kind of ironic that the two were so close in time.
Where does anyone see BB landing? Season 8 in the summer averaged 8.18 million viewers for the season with the premiere at just over 6.05 million. The finale ended up with almost 9 million viewers.
More viewers than in the summer but much bigger competition? Anyone think 7 or 8 million is out of the question? How about Jericho? What does anyone think it needs to get a 3rd Season?
