Do you have the half hour breakdowns for Smallville and Supernatural?

Agreed, and a 1.8 for a show with 5 million viewers isn't terrible. Its not like 5th Grader does real hot among 18-49s either.

Don't Forget the Lyrics is the weak link in the FOX lineup. 1.8 in the demos? It skews very old. It's a summer show that isn't going to be a major player in the fall.

I actually wonder if it skews very young???
Remember, under 18 fall into the "General Viewing" numbers. This is the case with Kid Nation who as 11% of its viewership UNDER 18

I may be biased because I like the show (as a guilty pleasure, nothing more), but despite Big Shots' losses, does it really deserve the Loser label the week? It increased over last week in all categories. How many other freshmen shows have done that? It also won its hour in the demo, which was enough for Marc to put Pushing Daisies as a "winner" yesterday, despite drop off from the premiere and slight dips at the half hour. Not saying Big Shots should be a winner, because retention is nothing to crow about nor is the 10:30pm drop off, but is it really a loser this week?

I'm in the minority that loves BIG SHOTS...and the thing is I only taped in on a whim the day of its premiere. It's just entertaining...the way BOSTON PUBLIC was in its first and only good season. I really hope that if ABC has to choose between DSM and BIG SHOTS-DSM bites the dust.

I doubt it will be #1 once the Final Numbers come out. It may even drop to #3.
I think someone said the Grey's runover was 5 minutes into the 10pm hour.

I usually leave the winners and losers thing alone, but if Big Shots is a loser, so is WAT.

I wouldn't go that far. Its not a winner, but it still easily won the hour in viewers and may still win the demo once Finals come out.

ER will drag on for another five seasons and it will never end. Seriously is there even anybody from the old cast on ER anymore? Glad to see that Supernatural is rising in the numbers, hopefully it will continue to increase next week as well.

Its nice to see Greys holding steady, while CSI has been dropping with each episode. I wouldnt be surprised to see it on top next week. Glad that Betty to an uptick and am SHOCKED by the numbers for e.r. Talk about a fall from grace. I remember this being an unstoppable force in the late 90's.

futoncritic.com indicated yesterday that the A18-49 for Dirty Sexy Money declined 13.5% at the 10:30 pm hour.

As fa as I am concerned ER is already dead. No show that used to get 40 million viewers on a regular basis should still be on with less than one quarter of its original audience. NBC could have ended ER at the end of its 10th season...after the Friends series finale it would have gotten 40+ million viewers. That's what I would have called dignity.

Don't be so quick to declare victory, Finals still yet to come.

You can't be serious. I also find WAT's numbers this season disapponinting but it's far away from being a loser. It got 4 million viewers more than BS so basically the victory over BS is a landslide

Well, 11% isn't even very high for that matter. I bet that the percentage of viewers under 18 of Desperate Housewives and Grey's is much higher.

That would be interesting to see and not just for those two shows but for all shows.

Marc, Travis or anyone. Is there a list that shows the prime-time ratings of viewers UNDER 18??? If so, could you shed some light on this??
THANKS!!!

It is interesting how those numbers kept 30 Rock off the losers list on a much more competitive night. I think Marc has it in for Cavemen, which is his prerogative, but at least when talking about Carpoolers this week he didn't simply lump it in with Cavemen as most are wont to do. I think Carpoolers by itself is one of the funniest new shows on television, and if it wasn't engulfed by the stink of Cavemen a lot more people would recognize that.

From Variety:

"Carpoolers" shifts into high gear
Most of my fellow Season Passers didn't care for the pilot of "Carpoolers." Five of nine SPers panned the show; three of us (including myself) offered guarded praise in the form of one thumbs up. Only Variety ratings guru Rick Kissell granted the show a full, double-thumbed vote of confidence.

After watching tonight's second episode, it must be said: Kissell was right. I really dig the "Carpoolers." So much so, I'm adding it to my Season Pass list (though my lame Time Warner Cable DVR calls it a "series recording".)

What some critics wrongfully dismissed as misogynist and dull-- the New York Times called it "'Bewitched' with tollbooths"-- is actually shaping up as the most unexpected surprise of the season. The four lead characters are all being fleshed out well, and are emerging as more than just cliches. All roles are well played by the cast, particularly the should-be-more-famous Fred Goss and the subtle Jerry Minor.

Most of all, "Carpoolers" has a loopy spirit about it that just makes it fun to watch. There's the adult son named Marmaduke. A woman who only dates married men. The guys belting out "Come On, Eileen" with abandon.

At its best, "Carpoolers" comes close to channeling the spirit of the late, great "Arrested Development" (really). Part of that stems from the fact that the pilots of both shows were directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who find a way to make even the most mundane shots interesting.

It's been a pretty pathetic season for new comedies. NBC didn't have the guts to try a single new sitcom, while CBS's "Big Bang Theory" and Fox's "Back to You" just haven't gotten me excited, despite their solid pedigrees and winning casts. CW's "Aliens in America" is very good stuff, but it's on the CW, which means I've got to try extra hard to remember it's on....and with "How I Met Your Mother" and "Chuck" airing against it, it's never gonna be my first choice for the night.

But with "Carpoolers," ABC got it right. One more episode like Tuesday's, and I might just be ready to declare it the best new comedy of the year.

Just a little fun comparison from this weeks numbers.

Cavemen - 6.96 million Viewers

30 Rock - 6.61 million Viewers

No matter how bad Cavemen is, 30 Rock is still not good enough to out rate it.

It was that way up until about 2004, when WAT started edging out in front of it the following season.
