It retained Earl's numbers in the demo... don't really see it as a weak link this week. quote: Originally posted by WelcomeToK-Ville: 30 Rock dropped a lot from it's almost 8 mil ratings last week. It's still the weak link in the comedy lineup.

Couldn't agree more... each time I think the black book storyline is gone something equally goofy happens to keep that story alive... enough!!!!! I believe the first RT episode is the 25th of Oct...

I'm sure it didn't help, but even as recent as late this summer, WAT was doing very well behind CSI. In fact WAT beat CSI on September 6th & 13th quote: Originally posted by Hawk-eye: I wonder if all those Sunday airings last year of WAT late, past the primetime hours, didn't do the show some damage?

Marc-Is this true, or is it just your wish?
I haven't watched in years.... but why not send it out in 'style'.... it's obviously gone at the end of the year.. start the parade of ex stars and send it out with a bang....
According to what I've read, that's exactly what is planned. They have been lining up the departed for individual re-union eps. Contract is up, everybody knows the end is near, no need for alot of hand-wringing.

I doubt it will be #1 once the Final Numbers come out. It may even drop to #3. I think someone said the Grey's runover was 5 minutes into the 10pm hour.

Not saying Big Shots should be a winner, because retention is nothing to crow about nor is the 10:30pm drop off, but is it really a loser this week?
I agree, Big Shots was not a loser, despite that characteristic 10:30 pm sag. We need look no further than Tuesday, where Cane crashed and burned with a third place 2.4 A18-49 this week, and it still evaded the loser list.

There was a 3 minute run over. Big Shots came in at 10:03. quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: quote: Originally posted by WelcomeToK-Ville: Even though retentin wasn't great for Big Shots, it did increase in ratings in demos. Being #1 in the demo is good news for Big Shots.

quote: Don't Forget the Lyrics is the weak link in the FOX lineup. 1.8 in the demos? It skews very old. It's a summer show that isn't going to be a major player in the fall.
I actually wonder if it skews very young??? Remember, under 18 fall into the "General Viewing" numbers. This is the case with Kid Nation who as 11% of its viewership UNDER 18

Don't be so quick to declare victory, Finals still yet to come.

Kudos to Betty and Greys, as well as CSI and the Office! Marc, if Big Shots is a loser, so should Without a Trace. That retention demo wise and in terms of total viewers is nothing to brag about. WAT fans should be nervous that their show couldn't even outrate the deathly dull Six Degrees in the demo. Earl and 30 Rock are modest successes as is 5th Grader and DFTL for year to year improvements. ER needs to die. The CW should be the WC so it can be the Who Cares network.

There's a "small" difference. Cane didn't have a 19 million show as a lead-in

I usually leave the winners and losers thing alone, but if Big Shots is a loser, so is WAT. quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: quote: This board is bias against Big Shots, but you can't deny the fact that it won it's demo and ratings went up.

Well, 11% isn't even very high for that matter. I bet that the percentage of viewers under 18 of Desperate Housewives and Grey's is much higher.
