Ouch so 90210 went from almost 5 mil down to 3.3 mil? That's gotta hurt. That's going to be a little difficult to spin.
I gave it another week but I think this will be it. There is just too many choices out there and just not enough tivo room. I had to give up Big Brother since I had to record Fringe (I read the episode discription, sounds really good) and watch 90210 live.
Wow! I was expecting Fringe to do much better than that. I thought for sure that it would debut with numbers comparable to T:SCC or Bionic Woman. I didn't think they would stay high but I thought they would start out that way.
And not a great night overall. Almost all new programming and only two shows manage to get a 3 in the demo. I know some of it was summer stuff, but it was the two summer "hits".

Fringe is Good. High production quality, good acting and fun concept. I give it a Solid "B" grade.
FOX did make one mistake, they should have waited a week and premiered a one hour long Fringe after the season premiere of HOUSE.
But, I would not be surprised if Fringe's number get a bump next with because of the House Lead-in

Well I do agree about the production values, the acting was fine, but I didn't care a rats ass about any of it (which really surprised the hell out of me). I say a C-.
Damn, I forgot about House. Fringe could very well perform better with full competition once the season starts thanks in large part from Fox 2nd best lead in.
I actually quite enjoyed Privledge. Its nice to have the main character out of high school. Too bad it didn't hold more of 90210's ratings.
Fringe didn't interest me, but I did expect higher ratings. Especially after the barrage of commercials on Sunday football. House will probably help Fringe's ratings next week.

Next week will be the real test with the "sampling" out of the way.
Yeah for last nights BIG BROTHER! It was the most enjoyable episode in weeks because we got to see Memphis squirm like the creep that he is when Keesha realized he was going to send her packing and it got better when she dissed him in front of Julie and the live audience by not speaking to him!
Poor Keesha...she still so ditzy she doesn't realize the real reason she was ousted was so the guys wouldn't have to compete in an endurance comp against a physically fit young woman rather than an old man.
Everyone will be talking about Fringe/90210 but I just want to note a couple other things:
Nice rebound for Wipeout even against something resembling "real competition." Probably some sighs of relief on ABC's part after this show had dipped into low 2's for about a month. A summer show beating Talent head-to-head in the demo for two hours is really something, as is basically tying Fox's two hours, which included 90 minutes of the so-called biggest new show of the season.
Talent is really skewing ancient now.
Hole in the Wall having to go head to head with Wipeout was not a good situation at all, but I still wouldn't expect much when it debuts on Thursday.
