Gotta run also Marc. Dancing with the STars is starting and I'm a watching. AFterwards, I can't decide between trying out "Daybreak" or going straight to "Medium" as I used to love that show on MOndays. I may even try Criminal MInds without Lost being around--however I remember your review of that show and I just don't want to watch something so sleazy especially since I despise the CSI franchise shows and this is along the same vein. Any suggestions for a person without TIVO??

Now it's time for Dancing With the Stars. What are you watching tonight?
I'm going to watch Bones and Medium. I stopped watching Medium early last season, but I, uh, love Patricia Arquette's new haircut... so I'm gonna see if it grabs me back. I really did not like Daybreak's first hour when I saw it a few months back and don't care to see where the Lost-timeslot-filler is going. Even if Adam Baldwin is in it.
If I were still on the East Coast, I might've tuned into Dancing With The Stars. As it is, the winner will already have been announced so I can just find out online. No point in wasting an hour to find out a name that's already been announced in another time zone

Now that 30 ROCK is off Wednesdays, Bravo's TOP CHEF is my only must-see of the night.
Oh, and THE DAILY SHOW and THE COLBERT REPORT, of course. I'm hoping next week they're in repeats so that I can catch up on my hours and hours of unwatched shows (7 Gilmore Girls, anyone?)

Well commercial break here. How does it work with live events on the WEst Coast. DWTS will be over and the results known by the time it goes on on the West Coast right???? So, in effect it is a spoiler for them right?????
Who will win--Mario or Emmitt??? Find out in five minutes.
No he didn't deserve it Marc. However I noticed that last season also--it usually comes down to popularity and who has a bigger fan base instead of who is the better dancer. Unfortunately, that's the way it is--a popularity contest.
Sad but true. I wonder when the show is coming back. ABC has been mum on that subject. My guess is they will not bring it back to face Fox's American Idol this spring.

I read an article on tvweek.com that said DWTS would be back in March, but ABC did not specify a night (or a return date).
I'm surprised Emmitt won... I'd only heard things about how great Mario was. It stinks that the judges tied their scores last night, basically saying "okay, viewers... popularity contest". That's such a thinly veiled producers trap.
Marc, you do a TERRIFIC job with the PI. And I'm sick of seeing you feel obligated to apologize to VM fans about labelling it a loser and reporting its low ratings. If they cannot accept the fact VM was tied (with All of US) as the lowest rated original episode on network television last week then they have a serious problem with denial. Yes, I visit Neptune every week but I watch House live, and then watch VM later in the night or the next day. Your job is to report ratings, and last night's 2.7 million viewers is disgusting for network television. Regardless of retention rates, it should be labelled a loser anyway. Again, I enjoy the show but I'm not so sickly addicted that I refuse to accept its ratings struggle. I'm also a huge 7th Heaven fan but I didn't try to BS the fact that it had difficulty adjusting to its new night. If VM does great, then it should be worthy of accolades but with the return of House it's been struggling more. And with American Idol increasing House's audience by 50% come January it will only get worse unfortunately.
Marc, just report the ratings the way you see fit. No need to apologize for a show that could, and should, be doing better. And if this sparks angry responses from avid VM fans (like myself but) who can't accept the truth, then my point has only been even more proven.
Unfortunately, it rumors are true, then Standoff has received an extra 6 episodes and will likely be airing behind Idol this winter and spring. This would be good news for VM fans as House may be moved to another night.
I'm saddened that Mario Lopez did not win DWTS. But at least Emmitt was a good dancer but not as good or as exciting as Mario. Mario did get the judges votes -- if you add up all the judges votes throughout the season, Mario is the winner. And if you go by polls, it was by no means a landslide win by Emmitt. On the ABC message board, there was so much negativity towards Mario and I didn't know where it was coming from -- other than it's tough being the front runner all season. Oh well, I'm happy that Mario made DWTS a must see to watch. Thank you Marc for saying he deserved it because he did. But most of all Thank you Mario and karina!
Marc - I agree with everyone saying that you shouldn't have to apologize to VM fans. It may be a great show to some people, but this is a forum for ratings.
I disagree with you, however, on your statement that One Tree Hill should have been labeled a loser last week. It is consistently doing better than VM, Supernatural, and any of the CW comedies, and it's also holding on to more of ANTM in demos and overall viewers than ANY show that has ever been paired with it. It's viewership has shown an increase since the beginning of the season, and it has finally even taken over in total viewers over The OC... for a show on The CW - that doesn't translate into "loser" material in my book.
