All right. Just went out of your way to pick on that show. That last paragraph sounds like a description of October Road.

Hahah. Well, then I apologize. I only pick on it because of the CBS shows premiering that were mentioned, CANE is the only one I've seen! I've also seen SWINGTOWN... yikes! It's uncomfortable... creepy... disturbing. Nina Tassler's pet project belongs on Showtime with the raunch factor ratcheted up a lot more (instead of just being uncomfortable/creepy/disturbing).

And I didn't like the October Road pilot so I didn't stick with the series. If that description can be applied to OR, too... then, well, no wonder I won't be watching either!

Ah, OK. I made it through 2 eps of October Road. Tedious, drawn-out, coincidental, boring...was a perfect description.

Way too much of VP Daniels tonight...there is something about him I don't like. Probably that monotonous voice.

Who is the genius that came up with Cavemen anyways? I wonder how many episodes it will actually last, also, I don't understand how the episodes will be set up.

JMHO.

And Cavemen and Carpoolers are true stinkers. ABC had better put all its eggs in promoting the Wednesday night dramas because it would be utterly pointless to make the Tuesday 8pm comedies anything more than an afterthought.

I disagree. Aside from Cavemen and Carpoolers, ABC's is more likely to succeed. CBS' don't fit their crowd. They better get an influx of lots of non-CBS viewers otherwise they'll be competing with NBC in the demo (at least in the fall).

Oh Justin, just admit it. CBS is sinking. Their programs are starting to age and quite frankly a 16 % drop is pretty significant. CBS needs a new hit drama and a new hit comedy, but none of their new shows are guaranteed to make it in any way shape or form. I think they're on their way to becoming NBC's rival in the demo.

Talking about the difference of .6 between 3.0 and 3.6 in the first three networks' demo, will any media buyers care much? Granted it's a 16% difference, but how many million viewers does it represent? Would other more narrow demo numbers be more important in such a close field, and if so, what are those demos? Or do they only look at individual shows, not the network as a whole?

2007 A18-49 vs first 25 nights 2006 A18-49
(results weighted for extra hour on Sundays)

1. FOX 3.6 vs 4.2 (-14%)
2. ABC 3.5 vs 3.3 (+6%)
3. CBS 3.0 vs 3.7 (-8%)
4. NBC 2.3 vs 3.2 (-28%)
5. CW 1.3 vs. 1.2 (+8% to The WB)
6. MNT 0.4 vs 1.2 (-67% from UPN, first 22 nights only)
TOTAL 6 NETS: 14.0 vs. 16.6 (-16%)

FOX continues to hold on to first place by a slim 0.1 lead over ABC in A18-49 after 25 days of the May Sweep.

ABC and The CW are the only two broadcast networks to show year-over-year improvement in both A18-49 after 25 days of the May Sweep.

Do you read Dave Barry's 24 Blog? Someone passed it onto me halfway through this season (he's a famous humorist). It's the only thing that gets me through each episode.

I quit watching 24 early in the season and just read the account in Dave Barry's Blog. It's much more entertaining!

I should say the last 10 minutes were pretty good. The first 110 were nothing special, though.

The Heroes season finale was E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T.

Sorry if I came across as rude, Justin. It's hard to get tone right on forums sometimes. Ideally when you write you wait at least a day to edit before posting off, but net forums can't be any fun that way.

Anyway, I was just trying to highlight the CBS May sweeps decline. Somehow I don't think CBS care about post-upfront sweeps numbers, as a lot of ad deals won't be based on them. I have a feeling all the networks will end their May sweeps ratings efforts early in future.

**SPOILERS** HIGHLIGHT TO READ****
I EXPECTED A BETTER CLIFFHANGER THAN JUST HIRO IN 1600 JAPAN. WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT ANYWAY? IT WAS ALL A LITTLE WEIRD!

**LIGHT SPOILERS**
I'm glad that we weren't left on a complete cliffhanger, because I'm a bit tired of having to wait four months for an answer (*cough* Lost *cough*) Plus, it's all in volumes, so naturally, it was going to wrap up the story more than anything.

SPOILER: TO THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED HEROES FINALE

I liked the finale a lot, but it should have been 2 hours, and the way NBC hyped it, I also expected a bigger cliffhanger. So Sylar didn't die, is he going to be doing the same skull cap thing from this season? What else can he bring to the table? And couldn't Peter just absorb Nathan's powers and fly up to the sky himself?
It will definitely be interesting to see how they do this Generations thing with current castmembers interweaved in with the "ancient" storyline.

Heroes is a strong show, but they have to watch out from being too repetitive, and the hiatuses next season as well.

I think NBC and CW and will both improve next season but I am not going to argue that any of them has a serious chance at moving up their rank. CW will stay at 5th and NBC will stay at 4th. CBS and ABC's lineups are both too strong and FOX with the Superbowlin addition to Idol in 2008 is, how Saddam Hussein will say: the mother of all networks.
