Marc you see NBC making plans to bring back DOND. That was incredibly stupid to change this because DOND was solid for them. CSI clearly got all those DOND viewers

While I am no fan of extended episodes, either, I think it is fairly obvious by NBC does them. With strong shows 8-9 and weak shows 9-10, NBC can extend its stronger ratings performance longer with this strategy. Plus it may keep some folks tuned in at 9p instead of switching over.

God, this drives me crazy. 30 ROCK was at the top of its game last night, and was a perfect companion to THE OFFICE. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Once again, Nielsen viewers across America have let me down.

At least the OC is gaining some ground and not losing it -- didn't it go up by .2 in 18/49? Not something to crow about, but still going up. Hope more and more people come back and see how good the show is. Surprised how much I liked Ryan's new love interest.

Next episode is in two weeks. Why doesn't Fox switch Til Death and the OC -- putting it back at 8? It would be nice for the OC to get an even stronger lead in.

No, and NBC shouldn't bring it back on Thursday for two reasons. 1) It risks being over-exposed. 2) They need to rebuild their comedy presence and will have to be very patient.

Ouch for 30 Rock. I was hoping it would do better then Wendesdays. Hopefully NBC will be nice and give it love. If there smart they’ll move it to 9. I don’t think Scrubs has a chance.

Will we get to see the ultimate ratings for the 40 minute episodes here instead of the bookending half hours?

I think many of us want to see just how much of The Office's audience 30 Rock lost. It would also be interesting to know all the half hours to figure out the 9pm competition's effect.

yes 30 rock bombed but dond was doing so-so numbers vs greys/csi and dond will not last forever...than what?

in december nbc should mix things up...

earl
rock
office
scrubs

who knows, maybe rock will do better sandwiched between two demo hits...besides, rock is a good show...very funny, i feel it does have potential...

Thanks.

It would be nice to see a boost in the #'s. Hopefully some of the returnees will stick around.

I like Grey's Anatomy quite a bit (I don't normally watch doctor shows, but I'm a big fan of Sandra Oh). It's a very well made series, but the eps have been a little inconsistent this season. Last week's ep was a bit weak, I thought. Week before that was great. This week was pretty good.

I do often notice that ratings for a show will go down a bit the week after a bad ep, and up the week after a good ep. I'm sure that's not the primary reason CSI won in HH this week, but it might be a factor.

Me, I just never got that show. I've completely OD'd on cops. Only copshow I can stand to watch now is The Wire, and only because it's not just a copshow. And thankfully, not a doctor in sight, and only the occasional courtroom lawyer.

I miss the old days of cops shows like Mannix and Baretta. These forensic crime solving hours are not my cup of tea.

Interesting that copshows today are bastions of the episodic, but it was Hill St. Blues that really pioneered the modern serialized drama format. Which just doesn't repeat well.

I didn't watch copshows that much in the 70's, though there were some great ones. I watched Columbo, but that was never really a procedural in the true sense.

My alltime fave show is The Rockford Files, which was completely episodic in nature, the odd two-parter notwithstanding. An appropriate program to mention on PIfeedback.

I'm betting that House will move to Thursdays in January and the OC will remain in the 9pm death slot. But if House is the lead in then there is bound to be a lot of improvement.

I never got into The Rockford Files, but lead-out Police Woman was a guilty pleasure.
