Why? It is sad when a good show makes only 4.56 million (can you say Friday Night Lights?). It is good when a bad show does 4.56 million (can you say Notes From the Underblelly?).

I never watched it last season, but decided to give it a try this season. I watched the season premiere and yes, it is that bad.

You just happened to watch the worst episode of the show ever. I have been watching since the beginning and normally it's a light, breezy delight. I love it. But the premiere for this season pretty much sucked. It wasn't funny and I was sooo disappointed. Because of it being so bad I knew the people who sampled it wouldn't be sticking around for another episode, and that's shame because normally it is a good show. Jennifer Westfeldt is adorable and I'd watch her folding laundry. I've loved her since the adorable Kissing Jessica Stein. She is so talented and beautiful. More recently I saw her in Ira & Abby, which is a romantic comedy she wrote (just like Kissing Jessica Stein) and it will be on DVD at the end of January. Anyone who sees those movies will fall in love with her and Notes From The Underbelly will become that much more enjoyable. If it weren't for her I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much, even though it is a cute show. I hope that because of the strike it will get renewed again, since they might not be able to have a pilot season and will have no choice but to renew some of their lower-rated programming. I'm glad they renewed it for a second season though and under the right circumstances it could do well, just like Samantha Who did after Dancing With The Stars. It's all about the lead-in. They should stop airing new programming until Dance War and then it will give these shows a boost again.

And they should move October Road back to after Grey's Anatomy.

Yes. I can't stand the show.

Man ABC Monday is a disaster. If Dance War flops they are in MAJOR trouble.

It's absolutly NOT a horrible show. It's great.
Christina really shines and I was wondering the same thing last week. Why not watch now when they could have turned it off before while DTWS was still on but didn't....

The show is horrible. That is why no one is watching.

It's sad because it is a good show.

It really is their best sitcom in years. ABC better figure out a way to save it so it can get a Season 2.

ABC dragging the biggest show of the season down to the ground to cancellation levels..... why would we ever think they would do that....... oh yeah... ask Geena Davis.

ABC makes stupid mistakes like these. First off, SW needs a solid leadin. It doesn't have to be Dancing with the Stars.... but it does have to be a show that is going to be the same every week. Secondly, moving SW's timeslot was just downright stupid. Won't they ever figure out that you have to keep a show in one timeslot (especially when its doing good)? Thirdly, it was just downright stupid to bring NftU back. A flop one season is going to be the same flop next season. It isn't going to benefit from SW, rather it is going to drag SW down.

What would have made much more sense would have been to hold off on the few new episodes left until Dancing with the Stars came back on. While Dance Wars was on, place another show in the lead out position (Miss Guided, etc).

I would have to disagree. It is a REALLY BAD show. I still can't understand why ABC brought a clunker back like this for a second season. It was getting horrible ratings last year too.

i think abc was pretty good with its handing of SW. the show had PLENTY of time to build an audience. Bottom line here is the audience is not interested in the show. Can you say timeslot hit? Remember Jesse?

They are so few hit comedies on network TV these days, and ABC chose to put SW on against the top rated comedy on TV. Why?

season average makes samantha who look good...but its performance last night makes it appear to be one of the weakest sitcoms on tv...

it was only .1 above 30 rock and did worse than HIMYM, even BBT in repeat tied samantha...

The biggest show of the season? What are you talking about?

So you are saying that they should use this show as a companion piece to DWTS and only air at that time? Well, it is useful to introduce a show after a big hit like DWTS, but if the show can not pull its weight on its own, than it is not a hit. Not that SW needs to get the same numbers it was getting when DWTS was on, but 6 million? The show is a goner.
