FOX Continues to Lead in A18-49 After Three Weeks of July Sweep
2007 July Sweep A18-49 vs first 3 weeks 2006 A18-49 (results weighted for extra hour on Sundays)
As has been the pattern over the past summers, FOX is once again winning the A18-49 demo by a significant margin of victory. So far in the July Sweep, FOX has won 14 of 21 nights in the demo.

Taken together, the 11 broadcast networks are showing a 6% year-over-year loss in the young adult demographic. The subset of seven English broadcast networks are showing a slightly larger 10% erosion.
For perhaps the first time in its history, ABC has moved into a fourth-place tie with Univision for A18-49. FOX is showing minor year-over-year slippage, but for NBC and CBS it is double digit. MyNetworkTV, after starting the Sweep strongly, has fallen back to 0.4.
The only networks showing year-over-year gains are The CW (up 13% over WB or up 29% over UPN), as well as Telemundo and TeleFutura (both up 33%). Both Univision and ION are even to last summer.
In the traditional households measure, CBS is performing stronger and holds the lead, winning 11 of 21 nights (two ties) so far in households, though FOX has made gains since last summer in HH.

I have also added PBS (who are in a sixth place tie with The CW) to the English broadcast network pool…I would include them in the A18-49, but cannot find a source that indicates their young adult numbers.

Real test will be next summer when you have CW vs CW numbers
These numbers are similar to the season long numbers. CW has at least 'held ground' better than the other major networks.
I agree with you that the real test will be in the coming year when the CW will start to have its own original programming rather than just legacy stuff.

Someone asked where Pirate Master could have been put on the schedule. How about 8pm Wednesdays? There is not much reason to keep King of Queens going now that the show has ended. CBS could use Pirate Master to draw in reality TV show fans to that timeslot before they try to run Kid Nation there in the fall. Plus, Pirate Master is much more likely to do well at 8pm than 10pm.

Just trying to brighten things up a little.
Do you miss the hawk noise and the bubbling fish tank?
I'd add an icon for my screenname, but the choices are pretty slim. I suppose I could use the airplane. It kinda looks like it is crashing so, I could add it in honor of today's stock market performance.

Agreed. PM was actually doing a little better than these numbers.

I've changed mine 3 times and still am not 100% liking it.
Hey Marc, How about some new Avatars/Icons for members? Perhaps more that revolve around TV? Classic TV Characters, or generic representations of them
