I care about it, but in the other direction. I hope it bites the dust very soon

Cause this replaces C2H, and although i wasn't a close follower of C2H i still think CBS wrongly cancelled that show. I've said then that CBS will lose plenty of viewers on fridays and i'm hoping i was right
I watched close to home the first season, but I didn't enjoy the second season. I didn't think it was great that CBS cancelled the show because it did so well. But they risked it because of demo numbers, though I don't think Moonlight is any better of a show. I like vampires and Jason Dorhing but I wouldn't be so affected either way. I would be very happy if moonlight did well, I would not be too sad if it was cancelled. Though from the looks of it, moonlight may stay in tack for a while.
Thank you for raising that question in this forum.

I thought it was just awful. It was certainly better than the Bionic Woman pilot, but not by far. I kind of enjoy vampire stories, and Jason Dohring, but I found it completely dull and lifeless with a cliche every five seconds.
I caught the repeat of PD last night. I thought it was okay, the picture was amazing, the first show that has said in HD that I could really see the difference on my tv but I can't see becoming hooked on the storyline, guess time will tell. I'll tune in next week.

It's by no means the next angel, but it's filled that void for me since my angel/buffy went away. I can't remember now if they were cancelled or if was matter of the actors deciding to not renew the contracts. sigh.
fyi: casting friend has seen true blood... the new vampire hbo alan ball show coming in january i think. said it is really good.

I agree that the Moonlight pilot was just awful. I wanted to like the show, but after watching the pilot, I didn't want to waste any more of my time. I still don't understand how they made a vampire story unlikeable and boring.

For me I filled that void with shows I think are good. To even mention Moonlight in the same sentence as Buffy is some kind of sacrilege PS, Angel was canceled for a number of reasons. 1. WB had a pilot of Dark Shadows on the way (which never ended up going to series) 2. The cast would be up for contract re-negotiations and thus the budget would have increased.
The worst part is that ratings for season 5 were up from season 4... I'm always peeved they didn't get their final season.

Now that's one I'm looking forward to. The books it's based on are fun and Alan Ball knows how to run a series. This one is sure to be a winner.
