DSM should have gone to Sundays at 10, B&S to Thursdays at 10 (or vice versa) and Pushing Daisies to Fridays at 8. PP is the least I care about so I don't care where it goes. I can take it or leave it, really.
And I can't believe DSM is a loser. It should at least be upgraded to disappointing (especially last week). It may not get big 18-49 numbers (that's such a varying age range anyway) but it is keeping above 80% viewer total that PP has.
The networks basically ruined last year's freshman shows by keeping them off the air after the strike was over. They lost the audiences they were building. They should have brought them back for a few episodes just to remind people that they were still around.
Only two sophomore shows are doing well this season, and that is BBT and GG and they were both brought back with new episodes after the strike.
Well, there is now. Not so much two weeks ago, when Fox told producer Twentieth Television that they only needed 16 episodes this season instead of the originally-agreed-upon 22. (Quick sidebar: Ironic that the network would make such a request this season when the show's actually good. Where were they last season when it sucked!) Anyway, Twentieth's response to Fox went something like this: "You asked for 22, you're getting 22!" So, to answer your question, Adry, yes, there will be 22 Prison Breaks this season.

They shouldn't have greenlit any of these shows to begin with.

Somehow people are NOW deciding ABC made a bad decision, but they weren't saying this before they saw the ratings. Well, I was saying this, but in the context of saying "People will never like these shows, so cancel them."

Which shows how in touch you are with the pulse of the TV audience.
PD on FRIDAY? It'd be lucky to stay above 1.0 in the demo there.

Yeah, we all want to see rich pricks throwing their money around like water, being slutty and stupid, and acting like nobody who isn't obscenely wealthy matters a damn. It helps us forget our troubles, and who caused them.

WOW, and i'm being called far-leftist. Fidel would be proud of you
Why all the hate for Pushing Daisies? If you think PD's numbers are bad, DSM are just as bad. 5.95 and a 2.0 in the demo for DSM with a lead in? PD had 5.55 and a 1.9 in the demo without a lead in. If PD gets cancelled, DSM should follow the same path.

Reading your posts when I come to this board it's obvious that you have issues to work out in your own life because of your constant sarcasm so I'll let your inane comments slide.
Pushing Daisies, I think would do quite well going opposite Ghost Whisperer and Crusoe. They just need to cut costs on the show to make it work.
I thought they made a bad decision back before Season 1 started for each show.
Many television shows are for entertainment. I don't think about "rich pricks" when I watch this show. I think of "fun".

Hey LongliverI was wondering if you would be back to support DSM this year.
I know we had a few tiffs over the show last season and I think we both went a little overboard on that so from my end I want to apologize and hopefully we can both agree to disagree on DSM.
Walter, for PIFC #82, pick just 5 programs. You are restricted to pick one show per network, one show per level. The page link below for PIFC #82 will help you in selecting the programs. Easiest method is to pick one show per level color.

And by 'letting them slide', you mean dwell on them at length, so that you can work out issues in your own life, no doubt.

The scripts suck, the acting sucks, the idea sucks--the only thing the show has going for it is the slightly above average cinematography, and they can't maintain that without spending a ton of money.

Fine. But most people don't. The point is not for you to have fun, while most people ignore the show. The point is for the network to make money. Otherwise it can't pay for the shows, and people will have to find their fun somewhere else, which wouldn't be a bad idea anyhow.
Sigh.... I don't even want to watch television anymore with the way all the shows I love are going to be canceled. At this point the only thing that can save shows like Pushing Dasies, Chuck, and Life is a deal with another network like Friday Night Lights got. Other than that I think some of us around here are gonna have a ton of free time at night very soon.

Like I said before, you can thank the stupid networks for not bringing these shows back after the strike. That is what ruined at least some of them.
well since it's basically one big ford commercial i'm assuming they are putting up alot of money for the show, so yeah i could see Knight Rider getting a full season.
