Ah thanks for clearing that up. I hate it when they provoke them but I still wish he wouldn't say something like that. Either way it won't affect me watching the show.

In the story, the black photographer was acting like a jerk, and Garrett said something like "he didn't know black people were in Malibu", or something like that. I guess the photographer wanted to provoke a negative reaction from him.

The real shocker will be next week when Syesha makes it to the top 2 with David Cook.
Here's something interesting. The CBS schedule has repeats of BBT and HIMYM scheduled to air on Thursday March 22 at 8:00 and 8:30. That is the first time I have seen CBS sitcoms on at Thursday at 8:00. I wonder if this could tell us that CBS is thinking of moving BBT and HIMYM to another night next Fall. If they simply wanted the best ratings they could have shown a repeat of Two and Half Men. Having BBT and HIMYM could be a little sample of things to come. See the CBS Schedule here :
Actually, you would have to give the nod to the Law & orders. They are pretty much on 6 hours a week, between the 3 of them.
The CSI's are just now back to rotating the two rerun spots on the CBS schedule, along with the other crimetime shows. Right now, we are only getting 4 hours (just 1 repeat hour) a week. During the Writers Strike, they made sure not to air any of their shows as repeats, outside their normal time slot.
But as just 1 show at 4 hours a week, DOND is the King, over taking AI and DWtS.
But soon The Office will be up to 2.5 hours a week.
If you think about NBC this week, we'll get... - 6 hours of L&O - 4 Hours of DOND - 2.5 hours of The Office Thats over half their programming in a week. And lets not mention 3 hours of Dateline.

CBS moved into the winner’s circle at 10 p.m., with CSI: NY at 12.58 million viewers and a 3.3/ 9 among adults 18-49.
CSI: NY grew in the demo from its lead in and pretty much held off of the audiance. What does the Handbook say about this situation mushu_jj?
Handbook says the show continues to underperform in an overall weak hour and could be doing much better but overkill of procedurals on CBS has really hurt the weaker programs like this one, Cold Case, and to a slightly lesser extent: CSI Miami and WAT.
all outstanding synonyms courtesy of thesaurus.com. Just a suggestion.
And that's 12--make that 13.
And thing is, those other words may be synonyms, but are mainly too severe, with the sole exception of 'declining', which I think Marc does use sometimes. You know, if you had to write a ratings rundown EVERY SINGLE DAY, you might repeat yourself here and there as well. And I suspect if I looked over your posts here--well, never mind. My interest in the whole subject is itself fading.
pisher, you said: So how many posts in this thread will relate in some way to Marc using the word 'fading' in reference to AI?
So, acording to your phrasing, I don't think posts about counting the peolpe mentioning it counts. That's why I guessed 8!

Oh please. Poor stars that are annoyed by photograps. I give Mr Garrett my job and he won't be trouble by anyone. Everyone knows Garrett is a racist, he makes often racially offensive remarks. He shouldn't be allowed to work in TV IMO
I never thought I'd say this but right now I think CRIMINAL MINDS is airing the best eps of any CBS crime shows. It is not the best long term "franchise" but it is one of the few of these crime shows that is on anything resembling an upswing creatively. And it is not that much younger than some of their other shows.
L&O - nice ep last nite, creatively strong, looks like some aud has left over Jesse Martin, Anthony Anderson will be good but comparisons to Martin to say nothing of Ben Bratt are in my view premature.
CSI NY - by the usual measurements here it is doing OK but it is hard to escape the idea that some aud is being left on the table in this hour.

I've been a fan of Garret (not the show) since the mid 80's when he was in stand up. He is an "equal opportunity offender" comic. It doesn't matter what it is, he'll find something and run with it.

He could still work for FOX News.
Seriously, I know nothing about whether he's a racist or not. We do not talk about whether someone is ALLOWED to work in television, on the basis of his or her opinions. If he uses a show he's on to publicly disseminate racist views, we can talk about trying to get that show canceled. But you set the bar pretty high for that kind of thing, particularly when you're talking about a comedian.
Anyway, Til Death is quite capable of getting itself canceled, due to lack of interest.
I wouldn't read too much in to it. The 22nd is the first day AFTER the may sweeps, dso they may be just looking to give the shows a little added exposure (Pre CSI) instead of airing a crime show repeat then.
