What does the Handbook say about this situation mushu_jj? Wink

Handbook says the show continues to underperform in an overall weak hour and could be doing much better but overkill of procedurals on CBS has really hurt the weaker programs like this one, Cold Case, and to a slightly lesser extent: CSI Miami and WAT.

From the looks fo those numbers, it doesn't look as if ANYONE was even watching TV during the 8-9pm hour.

I think TPiR is the only show to IMPROVE on its slot, from what BB9 was doing in the winter/early spring.

Not in the demo which is quite unfortunate.

I think L&O might have CSI beat though.

I don't trust celebrity entertainment junk like TMZ. To me that's worse than any reality show because all they do is stalk people. If he did say something nasty to a black photographer, was it because the photographer was black or was it because the photographer was one annoying a-hole like most of the celebrity press people?

He just did an extra interview where he made some kind of racial joke to the host. He's not my favorite person lately and he's got enough emmys....

The real shocker will be next week when Syesha makes it to the top 2 with David Cook.

Does he really have a handbook?

How do we get the half-hour numbers for an hourlong show? I'm really curious if Criminal Minds dropped in the 9:30-10 slot.

And what's with DoND? Oh right, it's on NBC. The next time they make a decision, they need to consider why they're in fourth place.

It preety sad to say but i think it is NBC 2nd highest rated scipted show.

Viewer-wise yes. Demo-wise no. The Office and SVU are both better I believe but its terrible overall. Why they would keep this and Medium (which is probably actually higher in the demo too) off the fall schedule is so confusing. Both are very solid performers. If any show could use a break, its the unnecessary Friday airings of DOND this fall. 1 vs. 100 will do just as good, so just bring it back already. NBC just as well hold off on the new 10pm Monday drama for midseason. I think Knight Rider should be on the lineup and I also think Cruesoe was a good choice, but really question if it will catch on or not. Lipstick Jungle could just as well air after female skewing the Biggest Loser on Tuesdays (which could back down to one hour) and new comedy Kath and Kim could fill the 9:30 Thursday slot (30 Rock could go on hiatus in October or wait til November to launch so SNL specials could fill 8:30pm).

Its not doing well, but no worse than anything else here. Why couldn't the Game have aired its new eps here and then just have repeats of Chris and Aliens rotated behind it? The comedies need exposure. Its sad that Ostroff said she's basically not going to push a comedy slate for next year unless she feels the show is really good.

This is what I keep saying over and over again. Everyday everyone is beating on these 8:00 shows saying how bad they are doing. No one is watching TV during the 8:00 hour this time of year. Look at a show like DWTS, it adds 2 million viewers every half hour om Mondays starting at 8:00, because more people start watching TV as the night goes on. No one watches TV at 8:00 in the spring. When Fall comes these early shows will go back to normal.

I'm just afraid normal means lower results yet this fall. Not as low as now, but low. Honestly, had the nets known this would happen, I think Ugly Betty and maybe a few other weaker 8pm shows would've waited til fall to return. Fox may have put Idol to prop up 8pm Wednesdays and used TD and B2Y at 9 Wednesdays (which is where they should air anyway because they could use the exposure).

Not to mention that FWAW is a lot cheaper to make than GG and they haven't spent nearly the amount on advertising that they have with GG. Surely CW must be happy with what FWAW is doing.

I don't trust them either... I regularly don't watch the show or visit the website. But it was a posted link on TVBarn.com (a reputable site I do visit regularly) and it led to the TMZ page. In the story, the black photographer was acting like a jerk, and Garrett said something like "he didn't know black people were in Malibu", or something like that. I guess the photographer wanted to provoke a negative reaction from him.

And that's 12--make that 13.

And thing is, those other words may be synonyms, but are mainly too severe, with the sole exception of 'declining', which I think Marc does use sometimes. You know, if you had to write a ratings rundown EVERY SINGLE DAY, you might repeat yourself here and there as well. And I suspect if I looked over your posts here--well, never mind. My interest in the whole subject is itself fading.
