Speaking of 'kiss of death', Big Bang Theory sucked tonight.

I thought it was pretty decent. Still better than these first few minutes of HIMYM. Click.

Wouldn't be a real bracket without a 12-5 upset, right?

The fact that you wrote that pretty much reflects that you didn't watch the first few minutes of HIMYM.

Yes, actually I did. Not everyone has the same tastes as you do. I find the show to be completely overrated. It may have its moments and if its for you, fine, but its not my kind of show. I don't expect you to like BBT, but some of us do. Best get used to it. The show's going nowhere.

ABC's intended Thursday schedule for Eli Stone's horrible. Two weeks of reruns as lead-ins and Eli Stone will air its penultimate episode outside of its regular timeslot.

Thursday April 10th:
8pm Desperate Housewives (R)
9pm Lost (R)
10pm Eli Stone

Sunday April 13th:
10pm Eli Stone

Thursday April 17th:
8pm Desperate Housewives (R)

There was a big 'hook' in the opening minutes of HIMYM. If you didn't catch it, it shows you have a really short attention span.

If the lead in is a new Housewives it may have a shot at pulling in some viewers. If not, then it looks more like a burnoff move.

I just find the character of Barney to be really annoying. That's all. Get over it. Way to attack another person's choices. You and 2 other people watch the CW Sunday comedy block. I've stuck up for the block before saying it doesn't get enough attention but I'm not watching the show. This show, on the other hand, has had oodles of attention. The move to 8:30 was done because BBT was the perceived stronger sitcom to CBS. Is it? I guess we'll find out tomorrow. Probably not by much now thanks to the strike but clearly CBS has once again chickened out and saved HIMYM.

Why speculate on *if* the shows will be reruns when the Futon Critic article and the schedule I showed reveal the answer?

I'm not attacking your choices. I am attacking your claim of having watched the first few minutes of HIMYM when the 'hook' that was revealed would have kept any, even mild, fan of the show watching. Since you didn't keep watching it is clear you are a complete non-fan of the show just attempting to bash it with a claim that you 'watched the first few miutes'. That claim has no cedibility given what was revealed early in the3 show.

I don't think the shows being swapped is proof that CBS believes BBT to be stronger. CBS is just working towards how they will lay out next Fall's schedule, if they will expand to 2 nights of comedy, and if so, which shows might move to anchor the new night. One night's Nielsen ratings results won't give any difinitive answer to CBS's options, which is why they are going to be looking at more than 1 week of data. Meanwhile, your comment claiming that CBS 'chickened out and saved HIMYM' makes no sense at all.

DH returns Apr. 13, so it will be following the first new episode. I think it will be too little too late though. After facing 2 weeks of basketball (which could cut into the male demo the ABC press releases keep crowing about since it looses the female demo to LJ) and the relaunch of WAT, this special airing isn't going to help much on Thursday when it airs against WAT and ER with nothing as a lead-in.

I believe the April 10 schedule is back to back episodes of DH, at 8:00 and 9:00 pm, the last two episodes pre-strike and on April 17 back to back episodes of LOST.

The lead-in for Eli Stone will be a new DH on April 13.

I thought both BBT and HIMYM were both very good tonight! I'd almost forgotten what it was like to laugh at a comedy. Frowner

Your not making any sense. Marc help me out here -- whenever dancing is on, american idol is not on. Last year, american idol was on at 8p on tuesday and dancing was at 9P. ABC has always tried to avoid going head to head, which is why it is surprising that they are overlapping. Someone else must remember that this has never happened before.

Also, it will be interesting tomorrow when Dancing with the Stars and American Idol actually overlap in the 9p hour for the FIRST TIME.

It happened before. What about the TWO-HOUR PREMIERE of AI and DWtS? What about DWtS and AI when few competitors are left the show gets shortened into an hour (and they give the competitors 2 challenges) but sometimes if few competitors are left the show limits into 1 & 30 mins. So it happened before.
