I wonder what the total viewers will end up being? 2.7 million?
I'm gonna guess it will be around 2 million. That metered market number is equal to the repeats of most CW shows. When VM got middle to high 2 mil, it's metered market was 1.9/3.
This is a sad day in CWland. Which is basically everyday which makes this an average day. I say One Tree Hill will get higher ratings today due to a stronger lead in even though up against power house American Idol. The show is getting old and boring (American Idol) however I am the ring leader of polls. Let me figure that one out.
And despite all this, I'm still convinced it'll be renewed.
Well, it is the CW tradition to do inexplicably stupid things, true--like picking up VM from UPN in the first place.
I think tradition is nearing its limits, myself. We'll know soon enough.
I think the ONLY way it will get renewed is if the rumored Gilmore Girls 13 episode send off falls through. And the rumormongers on that one say the deal is on the table to be signed...but hasn't been yet.
I am not trying to spark a 7th Heaven vs. Everwood debate here, but there is NO way Veronica Mars should have been renewed over Everwood. Even a Gilmore/Everwood Tuesday paring would've been fine...at least better than the embarassing ratings the CW has been seeing this year on Tuesdays at 9.
from Media Life.. Fox was first among 18-49s last night, averaging a 9.3 rating and a 24 share in the demo. CBS was second at 2.8/7, ABC third at 2.7/7, NBC fourth at 2.6/7, Univision fifth at 1.7/5 and CW sixth at 1.4/4.
And VM will be one of the shows killed in order for those 4 hours to occur. The CW's standards may be low, but a 1.6/2 for an original episode is simply humiliating and unacceptable for any TV network. Anyone who thinks there is still a shot for 2007-08 is in complete denial.

I agree 100%. And then after Runaway flopped, Everwood could've returned to Mondays at 9. 7th Heaven and Everwood always were a respectable combo....why they were broken up was not logical.
