Tsk. Poor CW. It's ratings are really crashing down.

I remember a time when 7th Heaven had 10 million viewers, Smallville 7-8 million, Gilmore Girls 6-7 million. And look at those shows now.

After 6 Nights of the May Sweep:
(Re-posted from Overnights)

2007 A18-49 vs first 6 nights 2006 A18-49

2. ABC 3.4 vs 3.0 (+13%)
1. FOX 3.6 vs 3.9 (-8%)
3. CBS 3.0 vs 3.5 (-14%)
4. NBC 2.4 vs 3.0 (-20%)
5. CW 1.1 vs. 1.4 (-21% from The WB)
6. MNT 0.3 vs 1.1 (-73% from UPN, MNT Thurs-Sat., UPN Thu-Fri only)

Even with Idol, FOX is still down a bit in year-over-year comparisons. ABC continues to show strong improvement over last year and is the only network trending ahead of last years first six days of the May Sweep.

American Idol (Fox), House (Fox), Dancing With the Stars (ABC)

-Down But Not Out:
Gilmore Girls (CW), Law & Order: SVU (NBC)

-Yesterday's Losers (excluding repeats):
George Lopez (ABC), Dateline (NBC), Veronica Mars (CW)

Poor CW my ass. I haven't even turned to that Channel since they Canceled Everwood.

I used to watch Smallville and catch Gilmore Girls now and then, but without Everwood I don't even know what's on the CW and don't care.

FOX's 18-49 was 9.3/24. The other 4 networks combined was: 9.5/25.

George Lopez, like The Simpsons: viewers don't really seem to care if the episode is new or repeat.

9pm: CW – VERONICA MARS – 2.522 million viewers, 1.5/2 HH, 1.1/3 A18-49, 1.4/4 A18-34
9:30pm: CW – VERONICA MARS – 2.354 million viewers, 1.4/2 HH, 1.0/2 A18-49, 1.3/3 A18-34

Viewers acutally tuning out half way through. Not a good sign.

Almost a million viewers tuning out of House half way through? Can I guess this is People taking a couple extra minutes to turn off FOX after Idol is over? So, likely House will go down in the final numbers?

No problem. Thanks again for filling in for Marc.

House really is a great fit with AI. Only a .3 drop in the demo from 9:00 to 9:30. Fox may never move House away from Idol.

Naleyfanforever, I am definitely watching OTH Wink

Yeah, back in the "glory days" of The WB 4 million used to be really bad. Now days 4 million on The CW is good.

No, those shows just pulled those #'s for a couple of episodes. Not everyone. Just special ones.

Thanks Travis for posting and Thanks Marc for the Winners and Losers List!

I personally think that the CW is in the wrong if they bring Veronica Mars back for a fourth season. There is nothing that justifies it coming back. Three seasons and still it is not able to draw a bigger audience and it has had some really good lead-ins. I do not care if it is a favorites of Dawn's or not...playing favoriates to a show that is not pulling its weight...is not going to help the network grow...like it needs to. Let this season finale be in the end of it. Nothing justifies its renewal and it should not be back.

Peace!

"The Gilmore Girls" are starting to develop a reputation now for going down...
