I will mention though that since Dawn Ostroff was quoted saying she had to air Top Model 2 or 3 times each ep to make money on it, they could also do a Top Model encore into a new episode on Wednesdays. Personally I like the idea of VD encores on Wednesday though. I'm sure Melrose Place would get the slot first though. Roll Eyes

Then Wednesdays at 9pm after ANTM can be used, like last season, to pump up the ratings of a new show that is in a tough time period: The Vampire Diaries. But instead of airing the repeat one day after the original, like last season's 90210 encores, VD would be airing repeats the day before originals... allowing those who missed the Thursday airing for whatever reason to catch up and tune in the following day for a new episode.

This, of course, is just a suggestion for CW in case they aren't included to outright cancel TBL:TBL... and I wonder how incentivized to do that CW is given its near-complete lack of midseason programming...

Doesn't The CW get syndication money for Top Model? IIRC, MTV and Oxygen both air repeats of it.

Well, it isn't exactly her fault that they love her so much. Personally, I'm good whether or not Tina Fey wins or not and at least she gives out kick ass acceptance speeches and seems pretty cool and mellow.
Big Grin But that's just me.

Oh, well there is some trouble right now. My computer for the last week or so, has not working right now, like right now, I can't even reformat it. So I am out of commission right now. I can hopefully fix my computer or get a new one soon. I can probably still make some progress but you might need a backup plan because I don't have a way to use the Internet (at least not on a consistent basis) Sorry. Frowner

We wouldn't need the pilot episode until next Saturday. Do you at least have even a short description for that, or any other episodes at all? If you can give me like the first 3 episodes or so today or tomorrow, you can forget about it for awhile.

Well, I wrote the pilot. It's like 30 pages but I still think I can make it a lot better. I do have like some short descriptions of around 15 other episodes. Hopefully, I can work on trying to get it to you in a few days or so.

What I'd prefer is a Vampire Diaries "encore" on Fridays after Smallville... the shows would go together well and if I'm too lazy to turn off the channel after Smallville, at least there'd be something good on rather than Top Model repeats.

I know the Top Model "encores" are to recoup costs or some excuse like that... but hey - they've survived the last 2 or 3 weeks without repeats; why start now?

Doesn't The CW get syndication money for Top Model? IIRC, MTV and Oxygen both air repeats of it.

No CBS or WB heads (not sure who produces it) gets the syndi money. It doesn't count towards Cdub's bottom line. A show still has to be somewhat profitable in first run. Personally, I don't think ratings would fall much (probably not enough to make it unprofitable) if they canned Tyra. She's lost almost all credibility with her audience after being a b*tch the past few years. Her talk show, if you could call it that, is also a nightmare and is already getting cut back to the once a day airing next fall. It's insanity how they jump through hoops for an overrated star like herself. There's a reason the talk show is moving to Cdub: they couldn't sell it anywhere else. Her ratings were modest at best and even in big markets she would be airing at 1pm or 2pm, mostly on lesser network affiliates like Cdub or MyNet and even there shoved off to 1pm for comedy repeats like Malcolm in the Middle in the afternoon.

im not mark but ill still answer Smiler haha umm my guess is smallville gets between 3.2-3.5mil and my guess is dollhouse gets 3.5-4.1

These are very enthusiastic guesses for Dollhouse. I really hope the show starts somewhere near these numbers.

I loved Toni Collette on Tara and I think her performances was compelling and unique, but the problem I have with her winning as best lead actress in a comedy is that the show itself is not funny at all and therefore she is not really funny.

I think she is funny, especially with Alice and Buck. She's the most deserving. Lemon isn't funny, she's pathetic.

I'd love to see Julia-Louis Dreyfus take home the Emmy, just because the show could use an Emmy boost, but obviously her chances of winning are probably lower than Sarah Silvermans. I don't even get why we talk about this - Tina Fey will win again. She'll win as long as 30 Rock is on the air.

I mean really: are they going to give Alec Baldwin another Emmy?

I really hope that he wins. He makes the show work for me on so many levels. Just the way he smiles so kindly, then suddenly, he becomes serious, even cruel. And it would be nice to see someone new win this award. It's really boring when the same actors win every year.

Smallville: 2.2 mil. and 1.0/3 demo

Dollhouse I couldn't guess. I was never interested in the show.
