Then Wednesdays at 9pm after ANTM can be used, like last season, to pump up the ratings of a new show that is in a tough time period: The Vampire Diaries. But instead of airing the repeat one day after the original, like last season's 90210 encores, VD would be airing repeats the day before originals... allowing those who missed the Thursday airing for whatever reason to catch up and tune in the following day for a new episode.
This, of course, is just a suggestion for CW in case they aren't included to outright cancel TBL:TBL... and I wonder how incentivized to do that CW is given its near-complete lack of midseason programming...
I endorse this brilliant strategy to save 'The Beautiful Life: TBL' and enhance the audience-build for 'The Vampire Diaries'.
I so wish you were in charge of The CW, travisyanan, for then I might need never worry again of the outcome of my favoured shows, and I would know that only the best-written, most meritworthy pilots would ever get past the initial pitch stage.
When it comes to The CW this fall, 'The Beautiful Life: TBL' and 'The Vampire Diaries' are both tv worth talking about.

Could Stephen Colbert finally win an Emmy for best variety show? What about Simon Baker winning for "The Mentalist"?
A major sports bookmaking site is putting favorable odds on both to take home honors Sunday, along with a couple other surprises ("Dancing With the Stars" taking top competitive reality show instead of "Amazing Race"), in addition to many predictable choices ("Mad Men" and "30 Rock" winning drama and comedy series, respectively).

I am rooting against this Leno thing. I'm told from friends who have met or know him that he's a great guy - but they are going to ruin prime time television if this is a success.
I may have been more in favor of it had it been at 8pm. NBC didn't have enough there - but they've had some good quality at 10pm and been very impatient.
I love seeing the fact Jay has dropped 60% 18-49 since Monday. Of course, Friday is a lower vieewing night so we'll see how he does week to week
Not to mention the fact NBC canceled Medium, one of my favorite shows. Hopefully it will come back to bite them next Friday

I'm pretty sure House is suppose to be annoying.lol. So if you find him 'extremely extremely' annoying, than he must be a really really good actor. I started to find Patrick Jane annoying, maybe in a more likable way, but still annoying. Just my opinion, of course. I like Simon Baker, but I liked him better in The Guardian.

We had the very same line-up of GW leading into Medium in Germany for many years and Medium mostly ended up losing a chunk of it's lead-in and the network bumped it to a later time slot this season.
I like the idea behind this strategy. I will mention though that since Dawn Ostroff was quoted saying she had to air Top Model 2 or 3 times each ep to make money on it, they could also do a Top Model encore into a new episode on Wednesdays. Personally I like the idea of VD encores on Wednesday though. I'm sure Melrose Place would get the slot first though.

"Unfortunately" if I were running the CW, TBL:TBL would never have made it out of the pitch room from a story area to an outline, let alone being aired...
Maybe I should start a petition to get myself instated...?

If Dawn has to air each ANTM episode 2-3 times to make money off of it... time to consider giving Ty-Ty the boot. Especially since ANTM's ratings have slid precipitously since the end of Cycle 9.
It's frightening to think that two and a half years ago I went into meetings for writing, but the other writers or executives I was meeting with and I would always manage to gab about ANTM (and, oh my, the lines were firmly drawn in the sand between Natasha people, Renee people, and Jaslene people).

Well, it isn't exactly her fault that they love her so much. Personally, I'm good whether or not Tina Fey wins or not and at least she gives out kick ass acceptance speeches and seems pretty cool and mellow. But that's just me.
