These are the metered market (overnight) results for Thursday folks.

Prime-Time Metered Market Thursday Ratings:
CBS Dominates on an All-Repeat Night

Thursday 12/28/06

Household Rating/Share
CBS 7.5/12
ABC 5.2/ 8
Fox 4.5/ 7
NBC 3.7/ 6
CW 1.8/ 3

-Percent Change From the Comparable Year-Ago Evening (Thursday 12/30/05)
(The CW is compared to the WB’s repeat combination of Smallville and Supernatural)
Fox: +22, ABC: - 5, CW: -10, CBS and NBC: -18 each,

----------

Note: Last night’s metered market results are also available at www.pifeedback.com. The fast nationals will not be posted today. Considering last night was all repeats, we will exclude the daily listing of winners and losers.

----------

-Ratings Breakdown:
Well, it finally happened…last night’s schedule was all repeat programming. A full 100 percent of non-originals! On that note, CBS led in every half hour in the overnights (and will also dominate in total viewers and adults 18-49 once the fast nationals are released) courtesy of Criminal Minds (6.6/11), CSI (8.9/14) and Shark (7.0/12). Comparably, that was 44 percent above ABC’s line-up of Ugly Betty (#2, 5.4/ 9), Grey’s Anatomy (#2, 5.8/ 9) and Men In Trees (4.3/ 7). Ugly Betty fans, take note: three more repeat episodes will air on ABC tomorrow night.

Repeat theatrical Sweet Home Alabama on Fox was third overall with a 4.5/ 7 in the overnights, followed by NBC’s second-run combination of My Name Is Earl (#3, 4.4/ 7), The Office (#4, 4.0/ 6), Scrubs (#4: 3.4/ 5), 30 Rock (#4: 3.0/ 5) and ER (#3: 3.8/ 6). Last were two repeats of Smallville (1.8/ 3 from 8-10 p.m.) on the CW. What a night!

On a final note, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!

I hope you put Sweet Home Alabama in your winners column. Just the fact that FOX beat NBC and was within a point of ABC, on a Thursday, is a MAJOR accomplishment. Even on an all repaeat night.

I guess we'll have to wait for the nationals, but I think the Men In Trees repeat (out of the Grey's repeat) had its best retention yet! Also, probably did as well or better than it was doing on Fridays when it was first-run.

When does new programming start?

Marc at www.zap2it.com. They have fast nationals up. Trees did a 4.5 while Grey's was at a 5.3. The retention is 85%. Marc I am going to be pimping TREES all over your website. Lets start the TREES love. Marc isn't this awesome how much we knew that our TREES would be great after Grey's. Let ABC nurture and love it and it beat ER LOL. This is just plain awesome. Marc did you see the new Trees promo? OMG are you a Jack/Marin fan? I call them Jarin. Jarin is so angsty, hot and much better then Meredith/McDreamy.

You see the monster you have created Marc?

On just one day you post the metered markets -- and people are complaining!

From me, though, thanks for all the hard work during a holiday period when your site was often the only (and always the first!) place to get Fast National numbers.

Happy, Happy 2007 to you!

Why would that upset you? There are 200 other channels to watch when it comes on.

This doesn't matter if advertisers won't accept "live plus 7"

You're right Gee, but I still wish the advertisers would at least allow the live+7 days. Its not like people are watching their ads anyway.

Well, with the live broadcast, you can at least make a plausible argument that the ads are being seen. With recorded shows, you simply cannot.

True, but the advertisers know like you and I that nobody is watching or remembering most of their ads.
