-Ratings Breakdown:
Well, it finally happened…last night’s schedule was all repeat programming. A full 100 percent of non-originals! On that note, CBS led in every half hour in the overnights (and will also dominate in total viewers and adults 18-49 once the fast nationals are released) courtesy of Criminal Minds (6.6/11), CSI (8.9/14) and Shark (7.0/12). Comparably, that was 44 percent above ABC’s line-up of Ugly Betty (#2, 5.4/ 9), Grey’s Anatomy (#2, 5.8/ 9) and Men In Trees (4.3/ 7). Ugly Betty fans, take note: three more repeat episodes will air on ABC tomorrow night.
Repeat theatrical Sweet Home Alabama on Fox was third overall with a 4.5/ 7 in the overnights, followed by NBC’s second-run combination of My Name Is Earl (#3, 4.4/ 7), The Office (#4, 4.0/ 6), Scrubs (#4: 3.4/ 5), 30 Rock (#4: 3.0/ 5) and ER (#3: 3.8/ 6). Last were two repeats of Smallville (1.8/ 3 from 8-10 p.m.) on the CW. What a night!
On a final note, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!
