Good (Well not exactly good, but decent) numbers for UB, especially considering it's been a while since it managed a bigger demo. I doubt it's chances of ever reaching 10 million again, though.

I think for me it's going to be, whether they cancel it or not. And they almost certainly will not.
Marc, you were the scorned prophet of ER's inevitable demise, and a lot of people here owe you some props for calling it right. As you say, it should have happened sooner, but networks rarely want to let go of a major hit, even after it stops being a hit of any kind whatsoever. ER was a symbol of NBC's former ratings dominance, and that is ALL that kept it on the air this long.
Hey Marc, you should add a blurb into your Thursday rating release that Grey's Anatomy needs to be cancelled because it is losing viewers. After 3 or 4 years of saying it weekly, you will eventually see the show end and you can brag about how you were right all along.
MMMMMMMmmmmmm......I do find it odd that we slate the ER rating of a 3.3 and say it should have been cancelled years ago....yet Ugly Betty scores a .....3.3....and noone says a 4 year old series which still apparently has the zeitgeist should be cancelled.
And you probably find that 15 year old ER is costing less to make as it has had it's license pruned over the years at renewal time.
Give poor old ER a break....I have been loyal all these years and hope it is given a decent send off.
NO, GRey's is still very healthy. But given its erosion, ER should have ended three years ago.

God, was Supernatural the only show that was up compared to last year (either to the time period easy it was a rerun, or the first few episodes that aired), thats kinda of depressing.

Beside I never expected Smallville does well in Women demos soo...
ANTM's final viewer number was 4.13M. The demo number (18-49) was a 2.1. Smallville may go up in viewers, but there is no way it will top the ANTM demo numbers.
Smallville did well, but why add in the untruth that it will be CW's #1 show when the numbers didn't beat ANTM and likely won't beat Smackdown in viewers?

Yes, Marc, you have been saying that for years. And for years people have had to remind you that shows continue if their network can't find anything better (which NBC couldn't) and if the people involved with the show still want to do it (which the ER backers did and they are the ones that have decided to put ER to rest after this season).
Didn't you say that you were going to give the 'ER' should be cancelled comments a rest since ER has already agreed that this will be its final season?
Season 1: 23 million viewers Season 2: 37.5 million viewers Season 3: 34.9 million viewers Season 4: 42.7 million viewers Season 5: 31.9 million viewers Season 6: 31.5 million viewers Season 7: 29.3 million viewers Season 8: 28.1 million viewers
Season 10: 23.2 million viewers Season 11: 19.7 million viewers Season 12: 14.4 million viewers Season 13: 15.6 million viewers Season 14: 9.9 million viewers Season 15: 7.9 million viewers

Right sorry scripted, but even thoyugh I fully expect the final numbers for Smallville go up, so in AUDIENCE they will be #1 and of course they already are in SCRIPTED.
Smallville hardly ever does well in women demos so I don't deny that ANTM and GG and 90210 had their merit on those.
