Anyone know about how long it takes for CBS or NBC to put shows on VOD? I am looking for Survivor and ER since they lost out to GA and Supernatural on my DVR.
I think Kitchen Nightmares would fare much better wed's at 8pm with less competition. It's an entertaining show but against Greys, Lost and soon CSI it has no chance.
I think the Grey's numbers are very encouraging. I don't expect them to stay there but with the shortened season, network numbers down and the show being in what it's 4th year? It's not bad.

I think it would a kiss of death to change the name of Smallville this late into its run.
I totally agree with that..... but I sense there might be some heavy criticism coming from the sci fi critics if the show doesn’t bring “smallville” into the stories more.
It does feel like a different show now… just after the first two episodes of this season, I get the feeling that the show runners have lots of new ideas and are writing as if they have lots of seasons ahead of them.
At the mid point last year there was all this talk that the show was over because the ratings weren't that great, two major cast members were leaving, and new show runners are coming in... Now as long as the CW sticks around as a network, I don't see Smallville going anywhere
The five-net numbers year-over-year were down -17% in HH, -18% in viewers and -11% in A18-49, probably due most to the lack of a fresh CSI episode.
After 4 days of Week 1, ABC has grabbed the lead and will likely hold it through the remainder of the week:
Week 1, 4 days (Mon-Thu) # Net A18-49 (Viewers-#) ======================== 1. ABC 4.28 (14.335-1st) 2. CBS 3.80 (13.135-2nd) 3. NBC 3.40 (8.133-3rd) 4. FOX 2.80 (6.950-4th) 5. CW 1.45 (3.118-5th) 6. MNT 0.36 (0.980-6th) -> first 3 nights
I'm expecting that finale of 'WWE Smackdown' on The CW to break its network all-time high record tonight as it will be the only original competition up against the four-network debate coverage in the 9-10 pm hour (MNT is encoring a 'Celebrity Expose' episode). The CW's previous high with 'WWE Smackdown was 3.3HH/6%, 1.8 A18-49, 5,420,000 viewers.
Supernatural grew in the second half hour! That's really reassuring. The numbers were expected to be less this week anyway, what with the return of Grey's and Office, but it still managed to do quite well. At least it hasn't slipped to below 3 mill like it was by the end of last season.
