OUCH. Lost has lost half of its viewers (and over half of the demos) in just 3 years. That's a "major" accomplishment

I see that "horrible" CSIM in the 16th place of the 2007-2008 season, where is the "jewel" Lost

About to score a handful of Emmy nominations.

I'm proudly among the 12 million people who watch Lost. I'd rather watch this and be able to talk about it for days with my friends, ask questions, ponder its mysteries, than watch CSIM and within 30 minutes have completely forgotten what the episode was about.

I'll admit that some of Lost is farfetched and hard to buy into....but ultimately this is a show built around its characters and thier dynamics. I care about what happens to these people and how it will all be resolved in the end.
Like Pisher said earlier....this show has set its end date and regardless of its ratings flux it will reach that end.
So go ahead and bash the show all you want, it's not going anywhere for the next 3 springs. How many of "your" shows can say that?

It appears that Lost placed 12th on The Chart that Matters while CSI:Miami is nowhere to be seen.

"Not a problem, i also think waisting time in writing stupid things on a forum is dumb."

Then why do you continue doing it?

The chart that natters is the one with the viewing numbers, that's the chart that matters to advirtisers. Forgive me for not being a nazi and considering a 50 year old just as human as a 20 year old. CSIMiami is the number 3 show among african-americans. Why shouldn't be this just as important as the demos chart?

That's a better explanation than I have benn able to come up with. I assume zap2it's would be based on the final numbers since they don't update until after the finals come out.

Yeah those Emmy nominations are so much more important than actual people watching the show. And BTW it has been two weeks and i still rememember what the last episode of CSIM was about

Robert those numbers are for live viewers, and include repeats? Some of those averages seem a bit low like CSI.

Unfortunately they are for repeats also. I still don't understand why Nielsen does that

The advertisers determine which shows get their money...which determines which shows stay on the air. So, the 18-49 demo chart is the most important ratings chart.

Obveeus is right, 18-49 is the network's target demo so it is all that matters. Just like 18-34 is CW's target demo. Viewer numbers are liked at, but are nowhere near as important as the demo numbers.
