I've lost interest in the show, but If a kid is a bigot, hes getting it from home and/or friends. Most kids may choose a mini golf course, but I know kids that are very devoted to their faith. and if they don't have the interest in golf.... As the old saying goes, "It takes all kinds"
I am beginning to lose interest, as well. I fast-forwarded through last night's installment and still got all interesting details...and I really got under the impression that just about anything of this show is fake.

quote: Well I watched both episodes so far of Pushing Daises and I think we're going to see another drop next week.
And the week after that. And the week after that. And the week after that..... quote: I liked it week one, but I liked it in a way I'd like a Tim Burton film
Oh no, it's NOTHING like Tim Burton (actually, it's more influenced by people who were influenced by Tim Burton, really--Fuller is never that direct--in a few more weeks, it'll be influenced by the people who were influenced by the people who were influenced by the people who were influenced by Tim Burton). , quote: it's totally over the top, and after watching another episode, I just was tired of it.
Yeah, that's how I felt after 30 seconds of the pilot, but I knew people would catch up. quote: It's kind of like eating food that's too rich, it's good but too much makes you sick of it.
It's like twinkies for the soul! quote: I think if this was a film, it would have been good, but I don't see how people will keep coming back every week.
I think it would have flopped as a movie too. But it wouldn't have been as expensive a flop. Because no movie studio would be dumb enough to give Fuller that much money.

You don't often see a studio head "jumping the shark". Tuesday's announcement by the beleaguered CW channel was one such moment. The premature, and, many would argue, illogical 9 backend pick-up for Gossip Girls will mark the end not only for the show but of Dawn Osteroff's brief tenure as boss of CW. The passing of either party will hardly be a matter of mourning.
Osteroff is not the person to be leading the CW network. She has made "safe", uninspiring, unoriginal bets that have all blown up in her face. Josh Schwartz compliments her admirably with his feeble East Coast adaption of the OC. GG never has a semblance of originalty, even down to using the same color schematics.
Osteroff blew the budget big time promoting wasted, infertile projects. GG is so poor, so generic, it is an embarrassment. Perhaps it is only fitting, like the drunken, beaten-down, river boat gambler, Osteroff has decided to throw it all on one last wasted spin of the wheel giving an extension to a show which is a mirror image of her.

quote: B2Y is definately performing underneath all expectations. This show is struggling. When TD does better in the ratings, you know the show is in trouble.
Be ready for a lot of promos during the ALCS and World Series.

We can't. Those are just TIVO numbers. They measure totally different from Nielsen. We'll have to wait for the actual DVR numbers. Though, it's not surprising that big shows in competetive time slots get DVRed most.

I love Pushing Daisies... it is quirky and reminds me of picket fences, northern exposure, and ugly betty all rolled into one. What fun. I hope people give it a chance... I am so tired of the csi / law and order crap. At least the dead bodies on this show get to say something...

The only reason I am tuning in to GG (or taping it, at least) is to have Chace Crawford to look at each week. So, for him, I hope it lasts.

It'll last a whole season thanks to the brain childs at the CW. How much longer than that is the question. quote: Originally posted by nyctvdramaqueen: The only reason I am tuning in to GG (or taping it, at least) is to have Chace Crawford to look at each week. So, for him, I hope it lasts.

It is more like something normally seen on the USA Network, but with a bigger budget. I also don't get the fuss over it, but it is a decent show, but nothing AMAZING!!! But nothing AWFUL either that doesn't deserve to be watched at least once. quote: Originally posted by A.C.: Sorry to see KID NATION beat again by PUSHING DAISIES. I tuned into PD during commerical breaks to see what the fuss was about.
It was horribly pretentious. Now I know why critics embraced it...they love to praise anything not main stream. They'll love a foreign subtitled flick about Bosnian genocide over a big budget alien invation movie. Same goes for PD...since its "outside the box"
I couldn't imagine watching a whole episode of PD...
The amazing thing about Pushing Daisies is that it is so much different from anything on network TV right now. But I have to go with those previous posters: the show will lose steam in the upcoming weeks. ABC should move it. It could go post-Private Practice with Dirty Sexy Money moving post-Grey's.
Different? Isn't it just a detective show in which the dead victims get interviewed? Oh, and lots of cutesy over-producing?

True. But I don't know if anything can save it. It's not clicking with the audience. quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: quote: B2Y is definately performing underneath all expectations. This show is struggling. When TD does better in the ratings, you know the show is in trouble.

It's Ostroff by the way. You have got to give her credit for finally giving UPN an identity in it's last years and increasing it's ratings over The WB's numbers. She made some mistakes but in my opinion not more than any other network executive.

Go Private Practice! Last night was the first episode I really liked. I expect a full season order very soon.
Yikes at DSM. Can't believe it dropped again with the lead-in the same, but Big Shots is doing far far worse so I don't think this show is in too much short-term danger. It's demos are very good also.
WOW at DOND... very good numbers. BW and Life are just meh.
Poor B2U... just another low-rated sitcom.
The longer NBC leaves "Deal" in this time slot, the stronger it will get, perhaps reaching the levels it reached on Mondays before "Dancing" appeared on the scene. Unfortunately, I hear the network is scheduling a limited-run reality series, "Phenomenon", in this time period in a few weeks. Yuk.
