Too many choices.... Im surprised CSI and Grey's stay above 20M in todays TV landscape....

5 years ago you were a trend setter checking out cable shows. Now it's just the norm..

People seem to watch the same amount of TV - they just seem to be ordering a lot less off the ABC,CBS and NBC menus.

not sure that will ever change...

I'll never understand the logic of airing a show that doesn't need any help after the Super Bowl...

Why not Sara Connors after the SB???

House would get biggers ratings...and size does matter in television!

Well, people seem to be pretty harsh on a show they haven't even seen. At least I've seen Jericho and people need to treat this second season as a mini-series - with an ending hopefully for them. The ratings aren't going to be anything impressive no matter what the timeslot is.

I wouldn't be so harsh on Jericho. If CBS gives Jericho an actual lead-in (Sundays @ 8 or Tuesdays @ 10) it might do over 10 million viewers and 3+ in the demo.

See? "Kid Pornation" actually performs an important public service. It's a 60-minute infomercial for birth control, disguised as a reality show.

I agree.

That's actually pretty STUPID of Fox to air a mega hit after the Superbowl already. I don't see House ever averaging more than 20 million in this day and age anyway. It already averages 17 million.

I would love to see Back to You and Til Death. But the scripts would have to be really good.

I've seen the pilot and the edit first episode of Viva Laughlin.... still dont think 'america' will embrace it..... will say though.... the pilot was brutal because it was them singing full on with a little music.... the edit is loud music with the singing WAY toned down....

But it has the same problem.... Hugh Jackman is really good and is barely in it. 40 minute ep he's probably in it like 5 minutes tops...

dumont, I think you might be the first person in all of history to ever use the words "Chicken Soup" and "hilarious" in the same sentence. ABC could have replaced Jackie Mason and Lynn Redgrave with a coat rack and a rag mop and gotten better chemistry. Mason making a certain comment about David Dinkins (the kind of thing you might expect to hear out of the mouth of Michael Richards or half the cast of "Kid Pornation") a week before the show debuted really helped its long-term prospects.

P.S. The show only had 3 unaired episodes. Production stopped after 11.

Hi i am new to this board:-)

I think CM is better then CSI. You can compare CM with great flicks like copycat, seven and silence of the lambs. CM is an awesome show with a great ensamble cast

Check out the spin for the ratings on CM from CBS:

"" "CRIMINAL MINDS" TOPS "BIONIC WOMAN" AND "PRIVATE PRACTICE" IN VIEWERS FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK

"Criminal Minds" Pulls Even with "Bionic" in Adults 18-49

CBS Wins Wednesday in Viewers For the First Time This Season

CRIMINAL MINDS won the competitive 9:00-10:00 PM drama battle for the second week, topping both "Private Practice" and "Bionic Woman" in viewers, while pulling even with "Bionic" in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 10.

CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (9.2/14), viewers (14.47m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (5.1/12, with ABC) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.8/10, with NBC). ""

Tied 1st in 25-54. That is good

It's a hard balance to achieve, and the second episode failed to achieve it.

"Pushing Daisies" is failing to achieve most of the things it's attempting to. It looks nice on the surface, but tries way too hard, talks way too much, and has a terminal case of lookhowcleverweareitis. It's the broadcast equivalent of a xwiseguyx post.
