Can't. Going home in a few minutes. Play amongst yourselves. Or with yourselves. Same thing.

You've heard of cable, right?

You've also heard of 'turning off the TV when there's nothing good on, and going outside, or reading a book', right?

Wink

So does that mean you're commenting on shows you don't watch? Or have you not heard of going outside or reading a book?

Thursday's Ratings Predictions

Ugly Betty - 9.5 million
Grey's Anatomy - 18 million
Big Shots - 9 million

CBS:
Survivor: China - 14.25 million
CSI - 20.5 million
Without a Trace - 14.75 million

CW:
Smallville - 4.75 million
Supernatural - 3.25 million

FOX:
Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader- 7.5 million
Don't Forget the Lyrics - 4.75 million

NBC:
Earl - 8 million
30 Rock - 6.25 million
Office - 8.5 million
ER - 9.0 million

A few things to note. I think 30 Rock is going to have a substantial decline from it's opening week numbers. I think that Ugly Betty will continue it's decline as Survivor is just dominating. Big Shots will stabilize and potentially go up a little in the viewership. FOX will go down now that the 5th grade premiere is out of the way. Don't forget the Lyrics will again be non-competitive. ER will stabilize in the 9 mil range. CW will get a little bounce back for their shows. Smallville should be flirting with 5 mil and Supernatural should get over 3 mil.

I think the best shot "Big Shots" has at increasing its viewership is when it airs opposite the premiere next week of "Viva Laughlin". Same for "ER". Wink

There was an error in my CSI predictions. It meant to say 20.5 million viewers, not 29.5 million.

God, you are really selfless and saintly.

And utterly bereft of a sense of humor.

And maybe just a little bit jealous.

G'night again--have fun talking about me all night. Big Grin

Amazing how I would double those numbers 2 years ago with 15-16 being good and 20+ being a hit.

Even more amazing when you realize that shows used to get canceled for not doing 30+ million... (pre-80's of course), or when you factor in the mid-nineties when the networks all seemed to have at least a few series averaging over 25 million on a regular basis...

I found an old Entertainment Weekly in my garage a few weeks ago and a rerun of FRIENDS on NBC got 17+ million, with a rerun of SCRUBS at 13+million. Puts things in perspective when Scrubs can't even really crack 7 million now with original episodes...

I remember back when ER used to get 30+ million viewers. Now it's not even getting 10.
