Dumont, a couple other thing about your post, which makes some very good points about ABC. First, I wouldn't say What About Brian has potential, at least in terms of ratings. Second, George and Jim aren't doing good, but they are actually slighly above last season's numbers against the Death Star. Third, it appears that Boston Legal is finally starting to get backlash from never having a good lead in on Tuesday. I'd say Dancing fixes this problem come two weeks from now. NBC has shown gains, but some of their solid contenders like Medium are sinking fast. In fact, Medium was a loser in my mind last year, considering it dipped all season long. A move to Monday would help, but not necessarily save the program. I'd move it to Friday with Crossing Jordan and Las Vegas. The CW may do well on 2 nights of the week, but that still leaves huge holes on Monday, Tuesday, and of course, Sunday. Plus, Beauty and the Geek is no Top Model, and only averages about 4 million an episode. The CW has potential, but this is no where near where they thought they'd be.

Did anyone see Brothers & Sisters last night? It was awesome -- the best episode I have seen.

Agreed. Simply awesome. Justin Walker is the new Charlie Salinger. It's like Dave Annabell is channeling Matthew Fox from Party of Five. Justin Walker is a great character and I'm looking forward to seeing how he continues to develop. How are they going to keep him from going to Iraq?

Not sure, but Justin is totally Charlie Salinger. I think this is the best family drama since thirtysomething.

What no one seems to realize is how far The Simpsons has fallen in recent years. But there is still no reason to believe this show will end anytime soon.

I'll agree that the show has fallen - but unlike other aging shows, even though you don't get a "great" show every week like you did ten years ago, each episode is still good for at least some laughs. I've yet to see one that's not.

And, every six or eight weeks, I think they still crank out an episode I'd consider "great."
The recent one where Ol' Gil moved in with The Simpsons and wouldn't leave I thought was a classic, for example.

But, yes, I'm with ya that it ain't what it used to be.

Marc:

Did the Discovery Channel's "Tomb of Jesus" special last night have any effect on the 9 PM network numbers?

It seems to me they are a bit down from usual.

I am starting to adore this show. It's really well written and acted. Although I didn't think Sarah did anything wrong, it's kind of ironic that how Holly comes crashing down on their world, and she's all fine with it. But when someone else does it to her, she blows up. Rebecca is 20 years old, when are you going to tell your daughter that her father is Bill. Telling Rebecca when she is 25 and suddenly have 2.5 million dollars in her bank account is even worse than now.

I did! This show just gets better and better! And that family has been dealing with some serious problems.
