Looking at the ratings, it was a big mistake. CBS should have ran KoQ at 8pm and moved the finale of HIMYM out of its timeslot to follow 2 1/2 Men. As it was, they killed the ratings for 2 1/2 Men and didn't really get any gain over normal from the 9pm hour.

As for the shows themselves:
2 1/2 Men wasn't funny so maybe it is a good thing that fewer people than normal saw it.
HIMYM was funny and putting it after 2 1/2Men at 9:30 for a finale could have been a good start to a CBS summer plan to put HIMYM after 2 1/2 men.
King ofQueens was tedious. I actually nodded off a couple of times, though Nielsen doesn't care about that since the TV stays on even when you fall asleep. Wink

Riff, would you consider taking the lead role this fall on Everybody Hates Gee? We would be willing to make the character more likeable, since we like you. Gee has for some reason pulled out at the last minute and the CW upfront is Thursday.

Yes, if only they could all be mega smash hits like "Men in Trees."

CBS has struggled in the 8:00-9:00 PT/ET hour ever since they broke up "King of Queens" and "Yes, Dear." It doesn't help that neither "How I Met Your Mother" nor "Old Christine" are very good.

"Two and a Half Men's" series low performance last night tells me either one of two things. 1) CBS might never get their audience back in that hour. Or 2) Viewers dislike "Mother" so much that they refuse to be subjected to anything it's paired with. Guess we'll find out this summer which one it is. Stay tuned!

You're joking, right? Storylines not going anywhere? Not wrapping up storylines? Yeah, I can see that you haven't been watching the show recently.

Peace!!

FYI - this board is about to explode because OTH was renewed for 22 episodes.

i don't understand why they put men in trees back to Fridays -- where it didn't do so well. i HOPE that ABC puts Men in trees after Greys for the summer, from the beginning so that more people can catch this show.

Hate that Dancing is on mondays -- puts a crimp in the CBS schedule. anybody think they should have moved Heroes to Thursdays? They should strike while the iron is hot like ABC did with Grey's.

The main plot of this season is how they all are inter-connected and will work together "To Save The World".

The artist was set to die from day 1. Most of the side characters were ment for a limited time frames. I wouldn't be suprised to see a Major Hero die next week.

It did take some adjusting with that many characters, but, for me, I had it down by last November. But most of the episodes never deal with ALL the characters. They usually just focus on a few at a time.

Heroes: Origins is a great idea. Back stories of side characters. Those 2 or 3 episodes this season that were "Back Stories" or "Flash Forwards" were awsome.
Plus it will help fill the gap and eliminate the long Spring Hiatis, which is the cause of the lower spring ratings.

U're absolutely right!. I for one decided not to watch the show anymore a couple of weeks ago. Maybe i'm too dumb to watch Heroes but the plot seems to be more stupid with every episode. Just wait for Heroes Origins, another stupid idea

Was there ever any doubt? With so many holes to fill, people have held out hope for VM. If VM had a shot, OTH was a shoe-in.

Obveeus, your name is well-chosen, if poorly spelled.

I'll side with CBS simply being in trouble during that hour. I'll also say that CBS did a poor job of promoting 2 1/2Men's early start time because they made every commercial about KoQ finale. I'll also point out that HIMYM and TNAoOC are 10 times funnier than 'Yes,Dear' ever was.

Considering "Heroes" couldn't handle "Dancing with the Stars," there's no way it could've handled "Grey's"/CSI. Unless NBC moved it to 8PM, but then you'd have a drama followed by comedies... "Heroes" at 10PM might've been interesting, but it doesn't seem like a 10PM show (then again, neither does "Friday Night Lights," but oh well)

I'm glad NBC left "Heroes" alone -- in the timeslot where people have come to know it (and can potentially get reacquainted with it over the summer).

Moving "The Office" against "Grey's Anatomy" was ridiculous, though. Both shows appeal to very similar demographics. Way to kill momentum for "The Office," NBC.

I will only be willing to work on "Everybody Hates Gee" if we can ensure that the show become "really, really white." Because it can't very well stay the way it is. Then what will G-Lo have to complain about?

Don't forget that "One Gee Hill" has just been picked up for 22 episodes. Between those two and my new pilot, "Men in Gees," pretty soon, you might start seeing my name alongside J.J. Abrams' and Greg Berlanti's.

I agree.
