I agree, but the perception is that it is sci-fi. Most sci-fi is about the human connection/condition.

I don't like Middle Earth/Medival settings (Lord Of the rings/Harry Potter).

Generally CBS does everything straight forward, so I was quite surprised that they ran the season finale of 2 1/2 Men out of its regular timeslot. I know they had a 1 hour series finale of King of Queens, but they could have held the Men final for next week. They will showing repeats on the final Monday of the sweeps.

Since Dancing with the Stars started, HIMYM has been off a couple million viewers and down in the 18-49 demo. A positive note is that HIMYM was #2 in the 18-49 demo.

I'm surprised at how low Deal or No Deal is at. I think the novelty has worn off.

Yeah it is interesting that 2 1/2 men dropped so much from last week considering the 830 hour is much less competitive than 9pm (going up against a House repeat and DOND as opposed to Heroes, 24 and final half hour of DWTS). My guess is a lot of people forgot it was on at that time. Thought KOQ might have done a bit better, but still pretty good numbers.

The problem with Heroes is that there are too many characters on the show and the storylines are not going anywhere. I think one of the biggest mistakes the creators and producers on the show did was introducing character, after character, and not wrapping up the storylines. Now they are having to kill off characters because there is no other choice. I am just not as impressed with the show as I was in the beinging.

Peace!!

Considering it was the series finale, KoQ did not do too well.

I think KoQ's did great those are their highest numbers in the demo, in at least 2 years if not longer.

Its still 3 million more than what Old Christine could do. But the lower HUT levels is a factor along with not being ready for an earlier start.

I know I was off guard for the 8:30 start time.

U're absolutely right!. I for one decided not to watch the show anymore a couple of weeks ago. Maybe i'm too dumb to watch Heroes but the plot seems to be more stupid with every episode. Just wait for Heroes Origins, another stupid idea

Thanks for the Info Demo

One thing I've noticed with these updates is that ABC's + numbers are slipping down to zero and CBS's are moving up, slowly, to zero.

I wonder if by the end of the sweeps if CBS and ABC will be tied for 2nd in the demo?

Tonight will be a big night.
Another Country Music Awards on CBS
AI on FOX
DWtS on ABC.
Is NBC doing 2 or 3 hours of Dateline tonight? Wink

It's going to midseason so that they can have a no repeats format without taking a long mid-season break like they did this season. It's what FOX has been doing with 24 for the past few seasons. It's worked really well for 24 until this season, when ower quality has driven viewers away.

Don't worry about Lost. It gets a huge boost from DVR viewings. Since it moved to 10:00 its DVR numbers have doubled, which probably explains some of the Neilson dropoff. It's likely to air at an earlier time next year, which should help it assuming it's not opposite AI.

Yes, if only they could all be mega smash hits like "Men in Trees."

CBS has struggled in the 8:00-9:00 PT/ET hour ever since they broke up "King of Queens" and "Yes, Dear." It doesn't help that neither "How I Met Your Mother" nor "Old Christine" are very good.

"Two and a Half Men's" series low performance last night tells me either one of two things. 1) CBS might never get their audience back in that hour. Or 2) Viewers dislike "Mother" so much that they refuse to be subjected to anything it's paired with. Guess we'll find out this summer which one it is. Stay tuned!

DOND is down, I believe, more than 50% since DWTS came into that timeslot. NBC should really have considered moving it away from that timeslot for the fall, especially considering DWTS will be there again in the fall.
