That would allow FOX to have a great sci-fi / action-adventure Tuesday line up. I'm sure there would be some overlap in fans. Plus, a 13 episode order would allow for FOX to air American Idol there like it always does.

I would lynch them. John Rhys-Davies was on Sliders (another show that aired on FOX Friday once upon a time) and he insulted a FOX executive and it resulted in him being written off the show.

The demo was okay, it tied with a Flashpoint rerun unfortunately. Congrats to 20/20 for cracking a 2.0, highest rated all night. *sigh* Friday's are graveyards.

Where else would FOX have been able to put it? Mondays, they wanted to give 24 the best lead in it could. Idol takes priority over almost every other show. Leaving Fringe in the same timeslot made sense. Since Fox already put one sci-fi ish show behind Idol, did they need another one? Would you rather Dollhouse be on Thursdays either as a self starter (Good luck with that) or on at 9 against CSI, Grey's, TO/30 Rock? Realistically, Fridays was the only spot open.

Gee, he insulted an executive and got written off... is that so surprising? Its like a show's producer/creator getting yell at by an executive type person and leaving/quitting.
Oh I didnt think about that your so right it would have no chance there. And I wouldn't want them to move Bones to before Dollhose because the it would be up against Grey Anatomy's.
Exactly. I like Dollhouse, but I am not giving up either The Office or CSI for it.

I think Dollhouse still has a chance. That giant pile of crap called "Legend of the Seeker" has been renewed for another season despite even worse ratings and that show probably has a higher budget then Dollhouse. Fox's expectations are realistic on Friday. If Dollhouse holds its audience FOX should seriously consider renewing it.

'Legend of the Seeker' is superb television. So is 'Dollhouse'.
I think DOLLHOUSE is dead, at least when it comes down to a longterm-run, but I still think there is a tiny possibility that we can see more than one season. It all depends on the ratings of the upcoming weeks. If ratings improve a little bit again, then FOX might think that this is a show that can grow and give the show maybe a 13-episode-second-season. If ratings don't increase and fall even more, then it's done.
I really want to love Dollhouse, because I am a big Whedon-fan. I'm more disappointed so far however. It's not a bad show, but not as enjoyable as it could be. Friday's episode was an improvement over the pilot though and I'm hoping the second half of the season is as good as Joss and the cast claim. I enjoyed the original pilot script much better than what they did put on screen. THEY NEVER SHOULD HAVE SCRAPPED THE ORIGINAL PILOT. It would have gotten them more positive buzz. And even though it probably wouldn't appeal to a mainstream audience, the show they're airing right now doesn't appeal to a mainstream audience either.
The failure of "Terminator" and "Dollhouse" will probably lead to the death of "Virtuality", which also had a great pilot script.

Not really, Dollhouse has aired 2 episodes and we are hoping it will pick up steam, Moonlight has been dead for a year and fans are hoping CBS Execs will wake up 1 morning and suddenly miss it. At this point in time there's a chance Dollhouse can make it, and I believe that it will.
