It grew huge from Chris, and almost tied Prison Break in the demo. Thats big for a show on the CW fridays. Especially one that the CW claims skews too old. The show beat 90210 in viewers and was only .1 lower in the demo and its on Friday.
Marc do you have the W18-34 and just 18-34 numbers for Chris/The Game/Model since the CW only cares about that?
I don't have them yet. And I was on the fence about labeling The Game a loser, but its performance is still very weak.

Yes, it is now official. Sad--another great lady of stage, theater and TV/films is gone. Not many of these old timers left. Bye Bea. I guess now Hallmark, Lifetime and TVLand can run a Maude and Golden Girls weekend marathon. That would be a great sendoff. And so cool.
I just heard. So sad when our TV favorites goes. About eight years ago I was at an event honoring two of the writers from I Love Lucy, who also wrote for Maude. She was there.

The only good thing about Dollhouse is the connection between Sierra and Victor. But this episode gave them no time, so it was boring. Eliza Dushku is boring. The actress who plays Sierra plays the different characters much better! And is hotter.
The Game is about the only show on the CW that has been growing this season...although it's growing slowly, it's been inching up to the 2 million viewers 1.0 demo which isn't bad for a Friday on the CW.
I thought I read something about how Mara Brock Ali was pitching the CW the idea of turning the show into a 1 hour dramedy....

Various news outlets are now confirming this sad news.
While 'Maude' was my favourite, I also loved Miss Bea Arthur in 'Golden Girls' and even the short-run 'Amanda's'.
Rest in peace, Miss Bea Arthur. Your further performances will be missed, but your good humour from past performances will be enjoyed for many years to come.

She did. Chris is already confirmed to be over, and The CW doesn't have any other comedies. To help the show Mara pitched a potential format change to an hour. She would continue the series as a half hour though if the CW wants that.
The show doesn't even work with a lot of people who adore Joss Whedon. It's been a failure from start to finish. And the longer it stays on, the worse it gets. Because there's no show here.
1.2 in the demo. Air the finale, put the 'epilogue' on the DVD, and tear those sets down.
Nice cherry-picking of quotes there from the Whedonesque ratings thread. Read the review thread of the episode from last night to see how a few random people here and there does not equal "a lot of people who adore Joss Whedon." Not saying their opinions and thoughts are not valid, but not 100% of the Whedon fanbase like Buffy either.
Hopefully it will do better again next week. I hope The CW takes notice of this. Next weeks episode look really good.

I think 'sour persimmons picking' would be a more appropriate turn of phrase, but in any event, I was merely demonstrating that on a forum where nobody is even allowed to post if they don't worship Joss Whedon, there is much disaffection in the ranks.

But I've seen many MANY other negative comments about Dollhouse there, and of course they are muting much of their criticism because they know the show could be canceled any second.

Gee, thanks.

There would BE no Whedon fanbase without Buffy, and well you know it.
What percentage of his fanbase do you think would choose Dollhouse OVER Buffy?
Even among the ones who convince themselves Dollhouse is great, there's this sense of resignation now. When Dollhouse gets torn down, next month or next season (if FOX is dumb enough to renew it), there will be nothing like the enraged reaction that occurred with Firefly. They'll make the same predictable comments about how it's entirely the network's failure, and nothing to do with Joss Whedon.
But here's a novel thought--maybe it's the other way around.
