In all fairness, it's not just you. We are all biased towards the shows we like. Marc is no different. This just happens to be his website. I come here to analyze ratings not Marc.

LOST is fading and fast.
Good-bye Eli Stone.
Lipstick Jungle may stay due to it's women appeal.
Survivor's ratings were good. Last nights episode was good as well. This is my favorite season in awhile.
Hey stop! According to whatsonpop we are not supposed to disagree with Marc's analysis. So stop now, or you might just get in trouble from whatsonpop.
Well, we might all be biased towards the shows we like. But Marc's job is analyzing ratings data, and this should be done without regard to whether he likes a show or not. If he wants to tell us he likes a show or not, great, we would love to hear his opinion. But when he is analyzing the ratings for a show, it should not matter whether he likes the show or not (or the network it is on.)
Actually it would be great to hear more of Marc's opinions via posts on this forum. He does not contribute at all other than his single daily post with the ratings. It would be nice, for example, to hear his ideas on how the hated NBC could improve next season. Instead of just telling us that "NBC should do better", how about his opinions on how they could do this. It is easy to criticize, but I if one who criticizes does not have better ideas, it is quite an empty criticism.
Last night's "Smallville" was awesome featuring the band 'One Republic', and fine results (esp for the demo) for the show except for the viewers though.
Not bad for "Reaper's" demo too.
- The survey was true! After the WGA Strike, many people didn't come back to watch their favorite TV Shows.

What does that have to do with anything when comparing primetime ratings? The only consequence of their smaller programming is making it easier for FOX to dominate rankings.
By the same logic, any show under 3.0 demo on the "#1 network" should be a loser.
Exactly. FOX should actually be judged on a tougher scale, b/c they only have to program 15 hours per week, vs 22 for the other nets. If FOX had to program another 7 hours per week, their average ratings would not be close to what it is now.

I've been reading that, and even saying it for more than a month. I will just add: this is a great move for ABC, ratingswise. they will win the timeslot (viewers and demo) wherever they put it. However, the PA primary won't decide anything. This race looks to be going to the convention before and decision is made. By then, all the networks will be churning their news divisions into overtime so they can capture as much of the ratings benefit as possible.
No, the networks issue invitations, and the politicians decide whether to accept them or not. Both Obama and Clinton accepted this invitation from ABC News, while Obama accepted a potential 22nd debate (!!) from CBS News. Clinton has yet to respond to that one. Most of the debates have been hosted by the cable news networks, simply because this is their bread and butter. But the broadcast networks missed a chance to host more debates during the strike -- CNN, FOXNews, and MSNBC each set (cable) ratings records with at least one of their debates.

Unless it is revealed in the next month that Obama is client 8, the primary has pretty much been decided already. Obama will win it, then lose to McCain.

I totally agree. I don't think McCain has a chance. (Please... please... I hope I am right!)
Regardless though, at least the worst president in the history of the USA will be out in 10 months!

Apparently you haven't been listening to his podcasts.
I listened to a few awhile ago, and basically all he did was rehash the ratings that I could read on this site and throw in a few repeated advertisements. Has he expanded the podcast?
I do agree with you, however, Marc has not changed since I starting visiting this site. NCIS will always be underrated Maybe you should start posting your winners and losers list each day. As much as you contribute to the forum, I think most of us would be interested in that.

His use of recurring epithets places Marc's prose within the noble tradition of Homer.

I'm sure the AI producers are scrambling to find a way to get their show away from this debate before they are crushed.
I live in Pennsylvania and I think this will not be the decisive state. Clinton has a lot of support in the State. I predict Obama will pretty much concede the state (not publicly of course) in the final days and concentrate on North Carolina and maybe the yet to be determined re-votes in Michigan and Florida. As for the ratings, I agree they should be strong - but not 20 million 10+ demo strong. I'd predict maybe 12 million and a 4 demo.
