Smallville and Reaper were both reruns. What amazes me, though, is that anyone is interested in watching Sister Act 2 again even after several years. That movie was a piece of junk...'free paycheck' built off the success of the much better original movie: Sister Act. Reminds me of the difference between Short Circuit and Short Circuit 2.

I think if Smackdown is moved back to Thursday then the CW will likely be finding itself in sixth on Thursday every week.

If MyNetworkTV skeds Smackdown on Thursday, I have a feeling that The CW may opt to move the more male-skewing Smallville and Supernatural to other nights and program something more female-skewing on Thursdays.

Agree. The fact that the CW programs were in repeats is a non issue. Having an old subpar movie beat you is really bad. I wonder if ALL viewers are finally getting tired of the CW and will watch ANYTHING else? quote: Originally posted by Obveeus: quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: This is an impressive little victory. Well, 7th if you count Univision. Oh, and the growth that Telemundo is showing, the CW could endup in 8th for the night. quote: Originally posted by mushu_jj: quote: Originally posted by Obveeus: quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: This is an impressive little victory. Criminal Minds going head to head against Idol will also likely lose viewers.
1) CSI-NY will do well and will do about 13.4 - 14 million viewers when the new epsidoes returns. 2)Criminal Minds was drawing about 14 million last year vs. AI and will do about the same this spring. 3) We may see a spike for Cold Case since it will have some new episodes with NO DH epsidoes against it. Once DH returns with fresh wpisodes, it will settle back in the 12 million range (as long as Golf runovers don't kill it). 4) WAT will have about 3-4 weeks of nothing against it while it has fresh episodes, so it should do just fine. Will settle into its 14-15 million range after LOST returns.
CSI NY - 12.5mm CRIMINAL MINDS - 13.5mm COLD CASE - 13 MM average rest of year WAT - pre LOST 14mm - against LOST 13mm

Fox must be very happy with the growth of MNTV. At least it's going in the right direction, unlike the CW. Now that it is establishing a base, I see them brining on more original programming, just like the WB and UPN at their inception as they slowly spread out to more nights.
The CW is, simply put, doomed. With the sudden decline of ANTM and Smallville likely only being around for a season or two more, there is literally nothing to hold up the tent on the network. And with WWE leaving, their season average next year in going to be in the low 2 millions. Easily within striking distance of a WWE fueled MNTV.

ANTM isnt doing as bad as everyone thinks. Last Wednesday it ranked second in the hour among the target demos of adults 18-34 (2.3/7), women 18-34 (3.5/10), women 18-49 (2.7/7), persons 12-34 (2.1/6), females 12-34 (3.3/9), teens (1.6/5), female teens (2.5/9), behind only American Idol. It just isnt doing well in the household and viewers. Overall, The CW ranked second in total primetime on Wednesday night among adults 18-34 (1.8/5), women 18-34 (2.7/7), persons 12-34 (1.6/5), females 12-34 (2.5/7), behind only FOX. What makes you think that? So far Criminal Minds has averaged 14.62 million viewers through 13 episodes. It's season low was 12.9 and the season high was 16.3. I think it will be around 13.9 the rest of the year.

Lost running long is an illusion as far as show content. I watched this week's new episode via Comcast On Demand. I knew that Lost is ad heavy, but I never took the time to "time" the commericials. According to On Demand, the episode ran for 45 minutes, and that still included about 5 minutes worth of ads. I think that the pacing of the show is getting messed up because of the flash forward and backward scenes, however, it would be great if ABC had the fortitude to broadcast more show content by letting the running time expand to 90 minutes or (two hours as they for season finales).

I doubt CM will average less than 14 million when it returns
