Probably. After all, I don't see people lining up to watch those PBS dance shows that feature the top competition dancers in the country competing head-to-head.
I agree. It's going to bomb. The only chance it has is if it can debut in early January Mondays 8 to 10 PM and attract the audience that watched DWTS at that time.

I would suggest trying it out on Sunday at 8 for Chapter 4. Against Extreme Makeover, Amazing Race, 2 animated shows and nothing on The CW it should have a chance going back to around 8.5 millions and a 4.0...
No offense, but these are some of the worst ideas I've ever read.
Maybe the government should bail-out the boradcasters by paying the people Neilson bases its ratings on to watch TV...
Maybe you should apply for a federal student loan, because you badly need to go back to school and learn how to write.

Actually, I do watch Big Bang Theory and I think it's one of the best comedies on TV (along with 2.5 men). But still, comedies today are a far cry from the days of Married W/ Children.
Oh yeah. Married with Children. That was indeed the high water mark of TV comedy.
wow cw down again, i guess once the cw protested gg ratings last month nielsen found the problem and erase .5 million of their audiences permanently. hahahaha
NBC has to focus on development and building up shows. Heroes will decline further as the season goes on. It wouldn't suprise me if it pulls a low 3 in demos this Spring. Viewership is already off. There are quite a few shows that already beat it.

What other show does NBC has that can pull in better demos then it at 9pm, except the office? I'm sorry but beggers can't be choosers.
Pro dancers... You're right. But if it was Grandma and Bob and Mary and Fred and Ginger (not umlike survivor or TAR) then I think it would still be close to the show it is today.

The sad thing is that if the cast were filled with professional dancers, very few people would watch. people want to eat up that sap story about underdogs and overcoming and blah blah blah...but they really don't tune in to see great dancing. Same thing is true for American Idol. If it was cast with a season full of quality professional singers, barely anyone would watch.
Reality Programming is too hard to predict. What you think will stink it up, ends up getting the ratings (Amer. Got Talent). Then the shows you think will be a lock to be a hit, are gone before episode #2.

Law and Order: SVU, 30 Rock, The Office, The Biggest Loser, Law and Order is close. There's four and a half right there. Medium will beat it when it comes back and Dateline will be close in viewership.
I forgot ER. That beats Heroes in viewership also.
I don't think that would happen. SYTYCD is the only dancing show with amateurs in it and it doesn't pull the viewership DWTS pulls in. It stays in the summer because it couldn't compete with the fall shows. The airwaves are littered with dancing amateur shows that didn't make it. Celebrities bring an interest that isn't there with normal contestants.
