NBC has a season premiere To some its garbage to others its dear One side wishes for ratings to rise The other side wishes for ratings demise To those undecided, there is oral luck For in commonality both side chant 'up Chuck!'
PS: sorry but i have to say it again: great seeing OTH beating GG in every category. Quality beats quantity
And which one stands for quality again---?
You're forgetting that Nielsen ratings are ESTIMATES--would it help if you thought of them as polls? Nobody knows or ever will know, exactly how many people watched, or what exact percentage were 18-49 years old. There is no such thing as a general election in Nielsen-land. They don't even have primaries. Though they kinda have recounts sometimes.
The difference in their ratings is so slight, in fact, it really doesn't mean anything, except that the two shows are extremely well-matched. In every possible way.
Such a shame about Chuck -- it's a really fun show. (Which maybe is the problem -- it's definitely a hybrid comedy/action and maybe just doesn't appeal to fans of both genres.)
But NBC did give it a show of confidence by ordering a full season before the premiere. Given the other issues the network is having, hopefully Chuck can "slide by" again this season. As I recall, it didn't set any ratings on fire last year, either.

Last fall I was writing a story and was supposed to interview Zachary Levi. But he completely blew me off. So, what goes around comes around! But don't give up hope...its only one episode.

Would the 7 million mark be considered good for chuck? If so it isnt too far off. If i remember correctly it got between 7 and 8 million most of last season too and it got a second season.
