Usually, when a show is cancelled dueta low viewership, it has still yet fewer viewers if it's resurrected. IMO, "The Mole" shoulda stayed in its burrow.
Outside of Season 1, this edition is great. shame the show isn't catchng. ABC must be shocked. Based on the marketing campaign they put together, you would figure it would be doing better. Last night's episode was better than last week's episode. I have at least three suspected people on my list on who can be the mole and one of them got executed last night.
I've only seen the premiere and thought it was pretty mediocre. Not a lot of action. I was surprised though that no one tuned in for even the premiere ep.

It’s a tough order for any show to transition from cable to broadcast, as NBC has noted before. Reruns of USA’s “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” “Monk” and “Psych” all drew low ratings on NBC earlier this year, as did Showtime’s “Dexter” on CBS.
L&O CI does not fit this analysis. It reran fairly well for awhile on NBC though may have lost steam as the other nets returned. It would be, however, be an example of the opposite situation, of the difficulty of taking a broadcast show over to cable. Even there, I don't think anybody considers the new originals a bust on cable since there just isn't a good measuring stick for this yet.
The reason eps for CI started to rate low was because we were seeing them for the 5th time. The premiere airings on NBC did well. The constant encores really hurt.
General thoughts to last night: ABC- much lower than it should be in many ways. The Bachelor clearly needs a break and ABC should hold off on airing the new series Opportunity Knocks this fall because of the reality overkill. Just throw out Scubs and the new animated show at 8pm right away. Its not like they'll click anyway. Then at midseason, give Opportunity Knocks the better 9pm slot so it has a shot away from Idol.
NBC- American Gladiators revival will be a short lived one after all. There's nothing special about this repetitive stuff aside from nostalgia of the 80s and 90s. Nashville Star did well. Lets pull Gladiators to Sundays and give Nashville the Dateline 90 minute lead in.
CBS- Expected results. Bill Engvall's show was mediocre last year. Not sure if it will improve or not.
Fox- Expected results.
Cdub- serialized shows repeat poorly but they have nothing else and unlike MyNet, won't put on any movies (which could really be a filler for them on Sundays, allow Chris to move to Tuesdays with Reaper this summer and have Top Model and B&tG take a well needed break).
Wonderful World of Disney Saturdays: Good move by ABC to broadcast "Camp Rock" the day after its Disney Channel premiere. As I've said before, ABC could see a ratings boost on Friday and Saturday nights by premiering some of its Disney Channel fare on those nights.
Gladiators: NBC should seriously consider re-packaging AG as a syndicated series for 2009-2010. The show would work on Saturday afternoons, just like it did years ago.
Mole: Perhaps ABC would consider moving the show to a different day and timeslot? Pairing it with the Bachelorette seems odd -- it would work better with Wipeout and Japanese Game Show. I'd also like to see Mole at 8p or 9p ET -- this is not a 10p show.

I agree that it should not be on that late, let alone after The Bachelorette, but think about your proposal. You're suggesting the most intelligent reality show be paired with two goof fests.

In the final numbers, MyNetworkTV with its double-up of "Celebrity Expose" tied The CW with a 0.4 in the A18-49 demo, and MNT came in fifth place in viewers with 1,010,000 vs. 970,000 for The CW.
This is only the third time this 2007-08 season that MyNetworkTV has come in fifth place on Monday nights.

You thought that old fart was the mole? She was like the least likely in my book...too weak
CBS has a huge success when they moved the king of queens to wed -- but unfortunately it was in it's last year. Christine can work if they start airing it there over the summer and previews for jay mohr's project gary look funny.

They don't. Two And A Half Men is the only show that does well, and it's staying on Monday. HIMYM does okay 18-49 numbers but would bomb on another night. Rules Of Engagement is a time slot hit at best. The Big Bang Theory would bomb on another night. Old Christine will most likely bomb on Wednesday this fall. CBS hasn't had a Wednesday comedy hit at 8:00 since The Nanny, and that was barely a hit when it aired on Wednesdays. Everything they've tried there since has failed. The 8:00 Wednesday slot has always been troublesome for CBS.
