Yes, once the other cable networks are added in I would guess around 35 million.

Obama's half-hour draws 30.1 million
TV election pitch earns a 9.5 rating in 18-49s
By Toni Fitzgerald Oct 30, 2008
With little else to choose from on broadcast, millions of viewers tuned in to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s half-hour primetime advertisement last night.
CBS, NBC, Fox and Univision combined to averaged 30.1 million total viewers for the half-hour special, according to Nielsen overnights, which aired at 8 p.m. The ad also ran simultaneously on MSNBC, BET and TV One, but ratings for those networks won’t be available until late today.
Obama’s biggest audience came on NBC, which averaged 9.85 million viewers. CBS drew 8.65 million, Fox 7.92 million and Univision 3.65 million.
Thanks, it may get close to 35 million in the finals, which is almost 2/3 of what the debates got.
Originally posted by Jay: Some observations... "Pushing Daisies" did see a small bump in viewership by not having to compete with CBS, NBC, and Fox (at least for a half-hour). That 6.64 million viewers was the second highest of the season so far. However, that figure remains below every first-run episode from "Daisies" first - abbreviated - season last year. [SNIP] 1. How long will ABC allow the Wednesday line-up to air without making some adjustments, and...
My guess is that they will continue to air this line-up until the holiday break or their replacement shows are ready.
It's really a pity about Pushing Daisies. I wanted to love the show but I ended up only liking it. It lacks the bite of Fuller's other shows. Too much of the Chuck/Ned romance and not enough dark humour to balance out all the sweetness. There's also way too much recap from the narrator. Of course that is going to happen when you leave a show off the air for 9 months.
I'll miss this visual treat and I'm always sad when a show that dares to be different fails. Though they haven't fared well in the ratings, I have been enticed back to the nets by shows like PD and Eli Stone. I fear that with their demise, network television will once again be the creative wasteland of reality shows, game shows, generic sitcoms and an endless parade of CSI clones.
Private Practice - The only show actually worth saving out of the Wednesday lineup. And that is why you have to move it, even if it leave Wednesday up a creek for ABC. Move it to behind Grey's as soon as possible. You will probably have about 85% retention. And while Grey's is down, 10-12 million is still much better than what it has been doing.
Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money - Gone. Put them both to rest now.
ABC Wednesday - Time to break out the new comedy block and then slap relocated Life on Mars behind it. Could a lineup like this really do that much worse? Oh wait...its ABC.
The Obamamercial - Watching it, I got the feel of an extended news feature piece rather than policy preaching. That is a good thing.
World Series - Good for the NL. Maybe they can win an all-star game next year. Hopefully the Rays can keep up with the change of guard and force Boston and New York to develop players and not buy a lineup. Remember when the Yanks had the best farm semester for like a decade straight?
CBS seems to be CBS. Boring yet reliable programing that brings in numbers.

Also, remember baseball was only on until 10:00PM ET, which means CSI NY did not go up against baseball, at all. CM went up against it in the East and Central time zones only, but CSI NY not at all so it has no excuses.

People are complaining about less than a one million viewership drop and .6 in the demos for CSI:NY and CM? It's called fluctuation in the numbers due to a multitude of reasons. None of those drops are serious enough to waive the panic flag.

That's actually exactly what I am thinking of the show which is why I wouldn't mind if it ends this season, as long as it gets a decent ending. Wonderfalls on the other hand I still miss very much despite a solid ending.
CM had almost a 20% drop in the demo and NY had 13%

given Obama's ratings, wasn't he tougher competition for PD than the normal shows?
PD was the ONLY scripted show in that timeslot last night. Most people weren't watching Obama, because most people have already made up their minds, one way or the other. That half hour message was aimed directly at the undecideds.
PD could certainly have benefited as counterprogramming, but face it--EVERYBODY has made up their minds about PD. There are no undecideds--and every week, more and more people who are watching it switch their vote to "anything but this".

omg we need to start a 'save CSI:NY' campaign now! with numbers like that, I wonder which of PD or CSI:NY will be cancel first by january. Really.... Sarcasm aside, the baseball played a role in those numbers going down for both CM and CSI:NY.
I agree with you WlcmLAPD, in a tv season fluctuation will happen.
