Wow, way more than I expected for the Apprentice. I think it was doing well in DVR ratings, so maybe everyone that usually records it watched it live now that Lost isn't on.
I think that extra hour will probably go to Big Shots.... what? Your kidding??! I'm sorry, but those multiple sources are just giving me the bad news. Never mind.

Acutally, Carpoolers is still on the bubble list according to either HR or Variety. That being said, don't expect it to come back anytime soon. All of ABC's comedies are in trouble so they are keeping everything in play (well everything but Cavemen) to make a final decision.

lopez, I love your surprised face expressions. Yeah, CM being cancelled is about as surprising as Cavemen and Carpoolers being cancelled. What would have been truly surprising is if any of them had pulled an According to Jim and got renewed.
P.S. JamesFord, welcome -- I love your name -- fan of Sawyer, are ya?
Reaper really didn't do that bad; that it has not been renewed yet is a mystery considering the 'success' of CW new shows, including the 'hit' (maybe if CW repeats this long enough, it will become true!) Gossip Girl.

I agree. Based upon quality and ratings, Reaper should have already gotten renewal. maybe they are just spacing out their renewal press releases while they try to figure out what day Reaper will air on next Fall? Then again, if Warner bros and CBS Studios are in a fight about which of them gets more of their product to the network, then Reaper may get dumped just because neither of them has a hand in it.

Perhaps because ABC shows blatant bias to their own in-house products by pulling other studios shows without notice that the CW is giving ABC some of its own medicine?

I'd be fine with that if it means ABC will pick up Reaper for their own network next Fall.

Hmmm a Reaper, Eli Stone, Boston Legal Tuesday! 3 Shows made in heaven for each other. I'm down.
All the network talk about year round programming (with the silly folks at NBC claiming to 'lead' the way), but if any network actually does it, it will be ABC. Why? Simple: their shows suck rocks in repeats. No, ABC won't pick up Reaper (it was a joke), but they need to find some sort of cheap programming they can air instead of their regular shows' reruns. Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives may pull acceptable numbers (in rerun) for ABC on Friday/Saturday, but they don't pull enough on their own nights. As a result, ABC has had to resort to filling in for those shows with offerings like Lost. It seems to me, that pattern will eventually lead to year round programming.

It's no mystery. Check out the 18-34 demo for new eps of Gossip Girl. Travis always posts it in his final ratings report. GG will score as high as 2.0 in 18-34 for its new eps. Last Thursday, a new episode of Reaper scored a 0.8 in 18-34. That's not going to make the CW nitwit gods happy. All they care about is that bloody stupid demo.
